China on Tuesday launched the Shenzhou-16 manned spaceship, sending three astronauts to its space station combination for a five-month mission.

神舟十六号载人飞船于5月30日发射升空，将三名航天员送往中国空间站组合体，执行为期五个月的任务。

The crew members, consisting of Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao, are in good shape and the launch is a complete success, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

据中国载人航天工程办公室消息，神舟十六号乘组三名航天员景海鹏、朱杨柱、桂海潮状态良好，发射取得圆满成功。

The three astronauts entered the country's space station and met with another astronaut trio on Tuesday, starting a new round of in-orbit crew handover.

30日当日，三名航天员顺利进驻中国空间站，与神舟十五号航天员三人乘组汇合，将在空间站进行在轨轮换。

The plane was greeted with a water salute after touching down at Beijing Capital International Airport at 12:31 p.m. on Sunday.

The C919 is China's first self-developed trunk jetliner in accordance with international airworthiness standards and owns independent intellectual property rights.

Chengdu topped the ranking of the new first-tier cities in China according to the Ranking of Cities' Business Attractiveness in China 2023 released by the Rising Lab on Tuesday.

5月30日，新一线城市研究所发布《2023城市商业魅力排行榜》，成都再度位列榜首。

The 15 new first-tier cities in the 2023 list are Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Suzhou, Xi'an, Nanjing, Changsha, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Dongguan, Qingdao, Kunming, Ningbo and Hefei.

上榜的15座新一线城市依次是成都、重庆、杭州、武汉、苏州、西安、南京、长沙、天津、郑州、东莞、青岛、昆明、宁波、合肥。

Using urban big data from 17 internet companies and data agencies, the research branch of Shanghai media group Yicai, evaluated 337 cities at the prefecture level and above based on five first-level dimensions: concentration of commercial resources, city hub, activity of city residents, diversity of lifestyle and future plasticity.

吴谢宇弑母案维持死刑原判

The death sentence handed down to a former Peking University student who killed his mother was upheld by the Fujian High People's Court on Wednesday.

5月30日，福建省高级人民法院对前北京大学学生吴谢宇弑母案裁定维持死刑原判。

The high court heard Wu Xieyu's appeal on May 19, more than 20 months after he was convicted of intentional homicide, fraud and the illegal purchase of identity cards. The 28-year-old was given the death penalty and fined 103,000 yuan ($14,600) by the Intermediate People's Court in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province.

2021年8月，福建省福州市中级人民法院对28岁的吴谢宇以故意杀人罪、诈骗罪、买卖身份证件罪数罪并罚，决定执行死刑，并处罚金人民币十万三千元。宣判后，吴谢宇提出上诉。福建省高级人民法院于2023年5月19日审理了吴的上诉。

According to the original ruling, Wu thought the life of his 48-year-old mother, Xie Tianqin, was meaningless after his father died of an illness, so he prepared to kill her in early 2015 and bought items online for this purpose.

福州市中级人民法院一审认定：吴谢宇在其父病故后，认为其48岁的母亲谢天琴生活已失去意义，于2015年上半年产生杀害其母的念头，并网购作案工具。
