Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday charted the course for China-Central Asia cooperation in the new era at a milestone summit with leaders of five Central Asian countries.

5月19日，国家主席习近平在一场重要峰会上，同中亚五国领导人共商合作大计，擘画了未来中国－中亚关系发展蓝图。

The China-Central Asia Summit, which runs from Thursday to Friday, was attended by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.

The third China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair opened on Tuesday in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province. 

第三届中国—中东欧国家博览会暨国际消费品博览会5月16日在浙江宁波开幕。

This year's expo has three areas: Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition, International Consumer Goods Exhibition and Imported Commodities Perennial Exhibition, with a total exhibition area of 220,000 square meters.

本届博览会设置了总面积22万平方米的展览，包括中东欧展、国际消费品展以及进口商品常年展三大板块。

More than 400 overseas exhibitors participated in the exhibition, with more than 5,000 kinds of exhibits. The expo will last until Saturday.

博览会吸引中东欧国家400余家境外企业参展，展品超5000种。博览会将持续至5月20日。

Purchase orders worth over 10 billion yuan (about $1.45 billion) for goods from the CEECs are expected to be placed at the expo, according to Li Guanding, vice mayor of Ningbo.

宁波市副市长李关定表示，此次中东欧博览会预计中东欧商品采购订单超100亿元。

The National Administration of Financial Regulation (NAFR) was officially set up on Thursday as China's new financial regulator, marking an important step in the country's institutional reform on financial supervision.

国家金融监督管理总局18日作为我国金融监管新机构正式挂牌，我国金融监管机构改革迈出重要一步。

The NAFR, directly under the State Council, is formed on the basis of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.

国家金融监督管理总局在中国银保监会基础上组建，为国务院直属机构。

The new administration is in charge of regulating the financial industry, with the exception of the securities sector. It will take over certain functions of the People's Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun has become a trending topic on Chinese social media platforms once again — not for a new album or concert, but for an artificial intelligence version of her voice.

最近，新加坡歌手孙燕姿在中国社交媒体上再次登上热搜，但这次出圈的不是她的新专辑或演唱会，而是她的人工智能版声音。

In recent weeks, a series of music videos featuring Sun’s “voice” has created a buzz after being uploaded on Bilibili.com, a popular Chinese short-video sharing platform. Incredibly, none of the songs were sung by Sun herself, but produced by AI software.
