Earlier in 2020, a photo showing a COVID-19 patient pointing to sunset with his doctor became a national sensation after it went viral. A volunteer in the Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University captured the moment as the doctor and the senior patient enjoyed the sunset on their way to do a CT scan.
CGTN later visited the patient, who has recovered and is now known as "the sunset old man," and spoke with him about his experience.
“太阳正好在楼顶上。好漂亮呀！”

2月初，感染新冠肺炎的王欣老人，被转送到武汉大学人民医院东院区接受救治。88岁的他刚住院时病情较重，心情也格外低落。在上海援鄂医疗队的精心治疗下，老人病情逐渐好转。
3月初的一天，复旦大学附属中山医院的援鄂医生刘凯在送老人做CT检查的路上，恰逢夕阳，便和老人一起观赏了久违的落日。
王欣回忆道：“我一般是躺在床上闭着眼睛，后来刘凯医生说好漂亮......有个大太阳正好在这个楼顶上，像个大圆球似的。‘哎呀，好漂亮呀！’所以我就指着，弄了这个姿势。”
一位志愿者用手机记录下了这一瞬间，在社交媒体上引发全国关注。
The photo and Wang's stories became a national sensation after being published on social media. Tens of thousands of people sent their blessings to the doctor and the patient.
"It's like a candle with burning lights, a message to us that there's hope," a netizen commented.
为医护人员再拉一首曲子
王欣曾是武汉爱乐乐团的小提琴手。住院治疗期间，上海援鄂医生偶然和他聊起音乐，老人的话匣子便被打开了，使得老人的精神头也变得越来越好。
"I had a good relationship with the medics from Shanghai," Wang said. He was quite gloomy during his first days in the hospital. But his negative feeling was dispelled after the doctor found out he is a violinist and started having conversations on music. Their growing bond made it difficult for the medical team to say goodbye as they left Wuhan.
王欣向CGTN讲述了上海援鄂医护人员从医院撤离时的情形。
“我跟上海医院的护士都不错，他们撤走的时候都不告诉我。把我弄起来了，咱们照个相......后来一大群护士也来了，把我弄在中间（照相），我也不知道干嘛。结果第二天我才知道他们撤走了。我也感觉遗憾。”
王欣曾说要在康复后送一首曲子给照顾他的上海医疗队队员们。今年8月19日医师节，恢复良好的王欣老人再次用小提琴演奏一曲《拉德斯基进行曲》，表达自己对医护人员的感激之情。
“他们把我命救出来了，我非常感谢他们……一方有难，八方支援，体验到了。”
