RMB 19.3 Billion Investment
The proposal of KPF
Two years ago, the North Bund Center project publicly solicited global design proposals. In the end, KPF and ECADI consortium successfully won the bid.
The proposal of KPF
The landmark site has a total area of only 34,580 m², covering multiple business formats such as commerce, office, hotel, and sightseeing.
The proposal of KPF
The total investment is RMB 19.3 billion. The development investment is about RMB 10.2 billion except the land price of about RMB 9.1 billion.
KPF creates the skyline in the 21st century in Shanghai. It has designed 16 supertall buildings over 200 m for Shanghai.
The proposal of KPF
Besides, the ECADI is one of the design units in China, covering a wide range of design qualifications and disciplines. It is undoubtedly a correct choice to choose the KPF-ECADI consortium for the North Bund Center, a small plot with complex traffic and business organization.
The design of the North Bund Center incorporates KPF's elements of supertall building design in different periods.
The proposal of KPF
However, compared with other supertall buildings of the same height, the North Bund Center has fewer floors, with only about 80 floors.
The proposal of KPF
The construction is expected to commence soon. The North Bund will also welcome one 380 m building, two 300-320 m buildings, nine 200-265 m buildings, three 180 m buildings, and one 60 m building.
Urban Development Plan of the North Bund
In the future, the North Bund area will become a new landmark in Shanghai after the Bund and Lujiazui area.
