Atelier will present 5-week Chinese New Year Holiday Camps to celebrate embracing the year of Pig. As for the second week, we are going to present you the very popular and upgraded Signature Camp on the topic of Discovery of the Ancient Egypt through Nile River. 

阿特黎尔为庆祝即将来临的小猪年寒假，我们将推出五周春节冬令营。第二周推出的是火爆且升级版的特色营，主题着重于 通过尼罗河去探索古埃及文明。

What is a Signature Camp?

什么是特色假期营？

It is a full-day camp having fun in learning both Art and Fablab classes focused on a big subject. The Signature camp will open to the students starting at the age of six and plus. 

阿特黎尔特色营是一个全天的课程，在一个大主题下，学生将利用半天学习艺术相关创作、另一个半天学习创客技术性的内容。课程开放给六岁以上的学生报名哦！

The Nile River played an important role in shaping the lives and society of Ancient Egypt. The Nile River was used by the ancient Egyptians to travel in boats for trade to other areas. It was also used to transport items to the various sections of the Egyptian kingdom. It is thought that many of the stones used for the pyramids and the great buildings in Egypt were ‘quarried’ (dug out from the natural rock) and then loaded onto barges and sailed to the location of the new buildings. 
Many animals live in and around the Nile, the most famous is the Nile crocodile, that can grow as long as six metres! Snakes, hippos, buffalo and different species of antelope can also be found along the Nile. 

尼罗河在塑造古埃及生命和社会形态中起到了重要的作用。古埃及人通过船运在尼罗河上和其他地区做着往来贸易。在古埃及王国内部，尼罗河也起着不同地区运输物资的作用。据说，用于金字塔和埃及的宏大建筑的许多石头都是“采石”（从天然岩石中挖出来的），然后装上驳船，通过尼罗河运往新建筑的所在地。尼罗河附近生活着许多动物，最著名的当属尼罗河鳄鱼，它可以长到六米长！尼罗河沿岸也可有蛇、河马、水牛和不同种类的羚羊。

学生们将创作一幅反映古埃及时代埃及人生活方式的立体模型，这将由机械装置、LED灯去呈现星夜、秘密盒子等...

What is a Diorama? 

什么是立体模型？

A diorama is a three-dimensional full-size or miniature model, sometimes enclosed in a glass showcase for a museum.The word French  "diorama" literally means "through that which is seen". The first diorama was exhibited in Paris in July 1822 and in London on 1823.

立体模型是一种三维的全尺寸或微型模型，在博物馆有时被放置在玻璃陈列柜中。这个词来自于法语，字面意思是“透过此看到东西”。第一个立体模型于1822年7月在巴黎展出，1823在伦敦展出。

What will the students learn 

学生们将学习－

• Discovery of the history of an ancient civilisation (Egyptians culture, beliefs and traditions) 发现古文明史（古埃及人的文化、信仰和传统）

• Discovering the ecosystem generated by the Nile river 探索尼罗河、人与生态系统的关系

• Discover new techniques of visual art ( Drawing and painting with acrylic and gouache paint on paper/wood board/papyrus, modeling plastic clay, learning portrait grid technique and so on)

  发现视觉艺术的新技术，如：用丙烯画和水粉在纸/木板/莎草纸上绘画、利用轻粘土制作模型、利用网格技术学习人画像等...

• Making papyrus paper 制作莎草纸

• Understand simple mechanical principles 

  学习简易的机械原理

• Make a simple electrical circuit

  学习制作简易的电路

• Development of motor functions 

  动手能力的的发展
