第七届广州三年展于广东美术馆举办,由王绍强担任总策展人。展览以“化作通变”为主题,邀请来自更加广泛文化背景之下的超过50位/组国内外艺术家及团体,试图拉开一个于变中求变的当代景观。此次展览分为四个板块,分别是由吴洪亮策展的“边缘”板块,菲利普·多德(Philip Dodd)策划的“慢板”板块,艾墨思(Thomas Eller)策划的“触屏”板块,以及由姜俊策展的“内生”板块。展览已于2023年1月10日开幕,将持续至4月10日。
aaajiao在主题展“触屏”板块呈现了作品《云数据应用程序》。该板块策展人艾墨思(Thomas Eller)尝试探讨当科技深刻地嵌入并影响着人类社会的发展,我们面对未来时,如何在人与自然、人与技术、物质与非物质间变化的伦理中自处与相处。

aaajiao的创作结合了浓重的反乌托邦意识、对文人精神的反思。他的很多作品都致力于探索新的科技和媒体影响之下的文化现象和政治策略,从社交媒体写作、数据处理,到网络和移动媒介下的新美学景观。《云数据应用程序》是艺术家借由古老传说中手势具有的神秘力量—通过手势和歌声,人们会获得勇气、怜悯、智慧或平静,来创作的互动装置作品。观众可以通过采集手势、触摸数据来生成和控制云,伴随着音乐声,会带来精神和情感的平衡。

The 7th Guangzhou Triennial was held in the Guangdong Museum of Art. Wang Shaoqiang was invited as the chief curator. With the theme of "Symphony of All the Changes", the exhibition invites more than 50 domestic and foreign artists and groups from a broader cultural background, trying to open up a contemporary landscape that seeks change amidst changes. The exhibition is divided into four sections, the "Bumps on the Edges" section curated by Wu Hongliang, the "In Praise of Slow Art: When All that is Solid Melts Into Air" section curated by Philip Dodd, the "Touch Screen/Me" section curated by Thomas Eller, and the "Immanence" section curated by Jiang Jun. The exhibition opened on 10 January 2023 and will last until 10 April.
aaajiao's work cloud.data app participated in the "Touch Screen/Me" section of The 7th Guangzhou Triennial. The curator of this section, Thomas Eller try to discusses how to live and work with the changing ethics of humanity vis-à-vis nature, technology, the material and immaterial, and whether we need to pause and think about this kind of changing relationship is towards the better or the worse.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
aaajiao,1984年出生于西安。现生活工作于上海和柏林。
aaajiao,是年轻艺术家徐文恺的化名,也是他虚构的网络分身。1984年(他的出生年份恰好是乔治·奥威尔经典预言式小说的名称),出生于中国最古老城市之一的西安,作为今天全球新一代媒体艺术的代表人物,aaajiao将今天中国特殊的社交媒体文化、科技运用带入了国际艺术的话语和讨论。

aaajiao was born in 1984 in Xi’an. Currently lives and works in Shanghai and Berlin.
Active online as a media artist, blogger, activist and programmer, aaajiao is the virtual persona of Shanghai- and Berlin- artist Xu Wenkai. Born in 1984—the title of George Orwell’s classic allegorical novel—and in one of China’s oldest cities, Xi’an, aaajiao’s recent projects extend his practice to various disciplines (among them, architecture, topography, and design) to capture the pulse of the young generation consuming cyber technology and living in social media.
