The year 2023 marks one decade since Chinese President Xi Jinping first proposed the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity. In the years that followed, Xi has stressed on multiple occasions that the problems confronting the world are intricate and complex, and their solutions will come through upholding multilateralism and building a community with a shared future for humanity. Xi is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
