今天，一则「知网免费开放」的消息炸开了锅。学生党们纷纷表示，_________。不要紧张，实际上知网免费开放的是一款面向科研团队、项目团队的产品，叫“OKMS汇智”，而不是知网的文献免费开放下载。

接下来，我们来看看相关介绍，首先是温哥华太阳报（The Vancouver Sun），标题为：China science database scraps paywall to aid virus battle.
· scrap一词，表示“放弃；取消；撤销”，英文解释为：to not continue with a system or plan，举个🌰：
We scrapped our plans for a trip to Hangzhou.
我们取消了杭州之行的计划。
还有另一个含义是“销毁；毁掉”，英文解释为“to get rid of something that is no longer useful or wanted, often using its parts in new ways”，举个🌰：

2019年9月份，经济学人（The Economist）的一篇关于美政府拟撤销Obama时期甲烷排放规定的文章中，就以「Energy companies are divided over a plan to scrap methane-emission rules」为题，同样用到了scrap ... rules的表达。
而在引言中则用unwind Obama-era environmental regulations来“替换”。
· unwind一词表示“解开；放松”，英文解释为“To undo (a financial arrangement or position) through the neessary legal or financial steps. If you unwind a length of something that is wrapped around something else or around itself, you loosen it and make it straight. You can also say that it unwinds.”举个🌰：

· epidemic作名词，表示“流行病，传染病”，英文解释为“a large number of cases of a particular disease happening at the same time in a particular community“，如：the outbreak of a flu epidemic 流感的爆发。
· mount熟词僻义，作动词，表示“逐步增加；增长，上升”，就是increase的高级版，举个🌰：
The death toll continues to mount.
死亡人数持续增加。
mount作动词还可以表示“准备；安排；组织；开展，发动”，英文解释为“If you mount a campaign or event, you organize it and make it take place.”举个🌰：
The National Gallery mounted an exhibition of American painting.
国家美术馆举办了美国画展。
比如，BBC在重庆公交车坠江一文中提到的，开展大规模救援行动，A huge rescue operation was mounted.
