别拍了别拍了

今天你被拍了吗？

近日，微信上线新版本，除了可以修改微信号之外，还多了「拍一拍」的新功能，在聊天对话框中双击好友头像，伴随着头像抖动，对话框中会出现「你拍了拍xxx」的提醒。

于是乎，这两天各微信群变成了「拍拍群」，拍大脑袋的，拍小肚腩的，拍马屁的，拍了拍棺材板的，拍了拍自己钱包然后哭了出来的...应有尽有。

所以，现在终于可以在群里像明星一样喊出来，“别拍了，别拍了！私人行程，留点个人空间好不好！”哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈：）

那么问题来了，这个「拍了拍」用英语怎么说？（这个转折很突然

很简单，把你的微信语言设置为英文（我-设置-通用-多语言-English），再去拍拍看。

你会发现「拍了拍」变成了“You nudged xxx”，“xxx nudged you”。

📍nudge /nʌdʒ/ 是什么意思？

1）作动词，表示“（尤指用肘部）轻推，轻触（为引起注意）”，英文解释为“to push something or someone gently, especially to push someone with your elbow (= the middle part of your arm where it bends) to attract the person's attention”举个🌰：

I nudged her and pointed again.

我轻推了推她，又指了一下。

2）作动词，表示“（使）达到，接近”，英文解释为“to move slowly and almost reach a higher point or level”举个🌰：

The price continues to nudge higher.

价格持续上涨。

He must be nudging 25 now.

他现在肯定将近25岁了。

3）作名词，也是表示“（肘部的）轻推，碰”，英文解释为“a slight push, usually with the elbow”举个🌰：

I gave him a nudge to ask him to shut up..

我轻轻推他，让他闭嘴。

然而，作名词时，有个表达：nudge nudge (wink wink) 什么意思呢？something you say when you want to suggest that there is a sexual meaning in something that has just been said. 看到这儿，就不敢瞎拍了......

下面我们来看看影视剧中的相关例句：

🎬电影《速度与激情7》（Fast & Furious 7）中的台词提到：What you nudging me for?  Close your mouth for two seconds. 你推我干嘛  闭嘴歇一会吧。

🎬电影《太坏了》（Superbad）中的台词提到：I was gonna give you a nudge ...我本来想拍你一下，

🎬电影《女孩睡着了》（Girl Asleep）中的台词提到：Who needs a nudge?What are you talking about? 谁需要推一把，你们在说什么？

所以，媒体Pandaily在介绍微信的新功能时，用的标题是：Wechat Introduces Renaming, Nudge Features. 提到了新版本中修改微信号（Wechat ID）和拍一拍的新功能。

我们主要还是关注介绍拍一拍的部分，第一段中，提到send nudges to other users by tapping a profile icon. 通过点击用户头像可以实现“拍一拍”的功能。此处的nudge为名词，profile icon指代头像。

📍icon表示“图标；图符”（a small symbol on a computer screen that represents a program or a file）

📍profile一词经常出现，1）表示“（有关某人的）简介，概况”，英文解释为“A profile of someone is a short article or programme in which their life and character are described.”举个🌰：

A newspaper published comparative profiles of the candidates' wives.

一份报纸刊登了候选人妻子们的对比简介。

2）表示“关注度”，英文解释为“If someone has a high profile, people notice them and what they do. If you keep a low profile, you avoid doing things that will make people notice you.”常用：a high profile 惹人注目/关注；高姿态，a low profile 不惹人注目，低姿态；如：a move that would give Egypt a much higher profile in the upcoming peace talks 会给埃及在即将到来的和平谈判中高关注度的一个行动。

刚才也提到，如果把微信语言设置成英文，你就会发现微信官方把头像处理成：Profile Photo，而上面的“My Profile”对应的中文则是“个人信息”。

📍上面还提到一个词tap：

1）表示“轻敲；轻拍；轻叩”（to hit sb/sth quickly and lightly）举个🌰：

He tapped at the door.

他轻轻敲门。

2）表示“轻触（手机或平板电脑等给予指令）”（to touch the screen of a phone, tablet computer, etc. in order to give an instruction for something to happen）举个🌰：

You can manage the repeat and shuffle options by tapping the screen once and swiping to the left.

你可以通过轻触一下屏幕向左滑动来使用重复和移动功能。

3）表示“ 在（电话或电报线）上装窃听器；窃听”（to use a small device attached to a phone in order to listen secretly to what people are saying）举个🌰：

He suspected that his phone had been tapped.

他怀疑自己的电话被人窃听了。

4）表示“利用，开发，发掘（已有的资源、知识等）”（to make use of a source of energy, knowledge, etc. that already exists）举个🌰：

We need to tap the expertise of the people we already have.

我们需要利用我们现有人员的专业知识。

🎬电影《头号玩家》（Ready Player One）中的台词提到：This isn't real, you're tapping my feed. 这不是真的 你们拦截了我的信号。

🎬电影《银河护卫队2》（Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2）中的台词提到：She wouldn't even tap her foot. Wouldn't move a muscle. 她也毫不动容 连脚趾头也不动一下。

📍提到tap，再补充一个和轻轻拍打相关的，pat.

1）表示“（喜爱地）轻拍”（to touch sb/sth gently several times with your hand flat, especially as a sign of affection）举个🌰：

He patted the dog on the head.

他轻轻地拍着狗的头。

2）补充短语：give sb. a pat on the back或者pat sb on the back表示“表扬，称赞某人”（to praise sb or yourself for doing sth well）

🎬电影《神奇四侠》（Fantastic Four）中的台词提到：You all deserve an enormous pat on the back. 你们都应受到表扬。

🎬电影《水形物语》（The Shape of Water）中的台词提到：Give yourself a good pat on the back, Strickland. 好好表扬下自己。

下面是Pandaily介绍拍一拍的正文：

可以看到，users can double-click any user's avatar. 又提到了一个表示头像的词：avatar.

📍avatar /ˈævəˌtɑː/ 表示“（某些网上聊天室或网上游戏中代表个人的）头像，虚拟替身，图标”，英文解释为“a picture of a person or animal that represents you on a computer screen, for example in some chat room s or when you are playing games over the Internet”，还可以指“神的化身”，英文解释：a person or animal who is really a god in human or animal form literary. 而那部非常著名的电影《阿凡达》的英文名即为：Avatar.

📍serve no purpose表示“没有用，没有意义”（to have no particular use or function；to not be useful or helpful in any way）

相反的serve a purpose则表示“起作用，有一定用处”（to have a use），举个🌰：

These small village shops serve a very useful purpose.

村里的这些小商店非常有用。

📺美剧《美国恐怖故事》（American Horror Story）第二季中的台词提到：But there are those whose lives otherwise serve no purpose. 但是有一些活着却毫无价值的人。

🎬电影《大侦探福尔摩斯》（Sherlock Holmes）中的台词提到：Five meaningless creatures called to serve a greater purpose. 5个都是毫无价值的人 被唤去为更伟大的理想做奉献。

Pandaily还提醒到，在群里可不要轻易拍老板，That being said, you may want to think twice before you nudge your boss: who knows whether the reply will be a smile or being booted from the group.

拍老板前请三思，否则可能下场如下：

文中用的是be booted from the group 被踢出群。

📍boot作动词，类似于kick，还真的有“猛踢”的意思（to kick sb/sth hard with your foot），举个🌰：

He booted the ball clear of the goal.

他一个大脚把球踢离了球门。

在「地摊经济」火了！一文中，我们就提到boot out，表示“解雇；撵走；逐出；迫使…离开；迫使…辞去”，英文解释为“to force someone to leave a job or not allow them to continue with an activity”举个🌰：

She was booted out of her highly paid job.

她被迫辞去了薪金丰厚的工作。

🎬电影《魔法师的学徒》（The Sorcerer's Apprentice）中的台词提到：You're going to get booted out of the pack! 你就会被驱逐出群体。

不过，把微信设置为英文后，你可以看到官方用的是remove一词，移除，去除（o take sth/sb away from a place）。

最后，听说除了拍别人，还可以拍自己。你可以试试看，别人拍自己时，微信怎么说的：xxx nudged themselves.

为什么不是LR nudged himself，而用themselves呢？留个小作业给你思考一下。
