Beyond Bilingualism: Bi-Cultural Learning in Secondary中学部培养双文化学习



As the school year draws to a close at YCIS Beijing, our students are enjoying showing off all they have been learning about Chinese language and culture to their parents, peers and teachers in their Celebrations of Learning. 

本学年即将结束,北京耀中的学生们积极地在学习庆祝中向父母、同学和老师展示他们所学的中国语言和文化。




Our students are also beginning to look forward to what next school year will hold for them, and their 2019-2020 Chinese cultural exploration trips and festival celebrations are top of mind. 

我们的学生也开始期待下一学年,尤其是2019-2020中国文化探索之旅和节日庆祝活动。



This week we were joined once again by Amy Zhang, Secondary Chinese Coordinator, to discuss what bi-cultural learning means in practice at YCIS Beijing and how it forms an integral part of our Chinese programme in Secondary. 

本周,中学部中文主管张琛女士再次与我们一起分享了在北京耀中实施的双文化学习意味着什么,以及它如何成为我们中学部中文课程的一个组成部分。



Beyond cultivating bilingualism, how does YCIS Beijing nurture bi-cultural learning in Secondary School?

除了培养双语能力,北京耀中的学生们如何在中学部进行双文化学习?

We teach our students about many essential aspects of Chinese culture, such as food, geography, technology, Chinese ethnic groups, Art, history and holidays, to name a few.

我们在中文和中国研习课程中向学生们教授中国文化,例如饮食、地理、科技、民族、艺术、历史和节日等等。
