A Guide of Entry into China Under Current Situation

In order to make it easier for everyone to have an understanding of the process of foreigners' entry, iVisaChina has sorted out the following general process in combination with the relevant policies that recently released.

为了方便大家对现阶段下外国人入境的流程有了解，iVisaChina结合了最近发布的相关政策，现整理大致流程如下：

Before Entry

入境前

Application for government invitation letter (domestic companies apply in China)
The company must apply either at the sub-district office, functional zones, or at the district competent authorities that oversee its industry (Commission of Commerce, Science and Technology Commission, Education Commission, etc.).
政府邀请函申请（境内公司在中国申请）
公司须在公司注册地所属街道办事处或负责其行业的地区主管部门（商务委员会，经济委员会，营商服务中心等）申请。
Sending government invitation letter
The company should send a fax or scanned copy of this notification to the employee, who will then present it at their local Chinese Embassy or consulate for visa application.
发送政府邀请函
公司将收到的邀请函的传真件或扫描件发送给员工，然后由员工在当地的中国大使馆或领事馆提交申请签证。
Make an appointment with the Chinese consulate to prepare relevant documents for visa application (the applicant applies at the overseas local Chinese consulate)
The notification will include a bar code that grants the Embassy or consulate access to all information collected by relevant authorities.
与境外中国领馆预约并准备相关材料申请签证（申请人在境外当地中国领馆申请）
使领馆会扫描邀请函上的条形码来获得信息；疫情期间，须提前确认当地中国领馆的工作时间。
Obtain valid visa and book flights to China
The visa obtained by the applicant is generally M visa and family members are S2 visa. The validity period of the visa is 30 -180 days (subject to the issuance of the consulate)
获得有效签证并预定来华航班
申请人所获得的签证一般为M签证，家属一般为S2签证。签证有效期是30-180天不等（具体以领馆签发为准）。
Get info from Chinese Embassy where to go to the Covid19 Test
与当地中国领馆确认COVID-19检测的指定地点和要求。
Take the Covid19 Test and get the result
Chinese and foreign passengers taking flights to China shall complete COVID-19 test within 5 days before boarding. The test shall be carried out in the institutions designated or recognized by Chinese embassies abroad.
核酸检测并取得检测结果
搭乘来华航班的中、外籍乘客在登机前5天内完成核酸检测。检测应在中国驻外使馆指定或认可的机构进行。
Report Covid-19 Test result
Chinese passengers can upload the negative COVID-19 report through the international version of epidemic prevention health code.
Foreign passengers need to apply for declaration of health status at Chinese Embassy or consulate with the negative COVID-19 report.
上报COVID-19检测报告
中国旅客需要在微信上的国际版小程序，拍照并上传其核酸检测的阴性结果；外国乘客应向中国驻该国使、领馆申请核酸检测阴性的健康声明书。
Boarding
Relevant airlines are responsible for checking passengers’ health QR codes and Health Declaration Letter before boarding. Passengers will be denied boarding if they fail to meet relevant requirements.
登机
相关航空公司负责在登机前检查旅客的健康二维码和健康声明书。不符合要求的旅客将被拒绝登机。

After Entry

入境后

Upon arrival in China, COVID-19 Test needs to be carried out according to the local requirements of the destination.
抵达中国，按抵达地当地要求进行核酸检测。
Quarantine ("7 days centralized quarantine + 7 days home quarantine " or 14 days centralized quarantine)
a. Those who are destined for Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and have a fixed residence and meet the conditions of home quarantine and health observation can apply for 7 days centralized quarantine + 7 days home quarantine.
b. If the passengers apply the home quarantine, they need to do the nucleic acid test on the 5th day of the centralized quarantine.
c. If the test result is negative, each district will arrange a special vehicle to transfer from the centralized quarantine point to the residence in a closed loop on the 8th day, and then 7-day home quarantine.
d. Before remove the home quarantine, the passengers and co habitants will take the nucleic acid test again. If they are all negative, the quarantine measures will be removed after 7-day home quarantine.
隔离（满足一定条件可选择“7天集中+7天居家”隔离措施，否则集中隔离14天）
1) 目的地为沪苏浙皖、且有固定居住场所，且符合居家隔离健康观察条件的入境人员可申请“7天集中+7天居家”隔离措施；
2) 若本人申请居家隔离，在集中隔离健康观察的第5天采样进行核酸检测；
3) 如检测结果为阴性，在第8天由各区安排专人专车从集中隔离点闭环转运至居住场所，实施7天居家隔离健康观察；
4) 结束居家隔离前，本人及其共同居家隔离人员均须再次采样进行核酸检测。均为阴性的，居家隔离满7天后解除隔离措施。
After quarantine, normal life and work were resumed
隔离结束，正常生活工作。
Apply for Work Permit and Residence Permit for foreigners in China according to relevant regulations (if need)
a. Have a valid work permit and then apply for residence permit directly.
b. If do not hold a valid work permit, it should apply for the work permit first and then the residence permit
根据相关规定办理外国人来华工作许可证与居留许可证（如需）。
1）已持有有效的工作许可证，直接办理居留许可。
2）未持有有效的工作许可证，按境内新办的要求先办理工作许可证，再办理居留许可。
