Updates on the Policies of Some Countries Travelling to China

With the outbreak of the third wave of epidemic in many places around the world, in order to reduce the risk of cross infection during travel, as of today, many embassies and consulates abroad have issued notices to further update their policies on going to China. In order to facilitate understanding, here is a summary of the updates on the policies of some countries.

Updated Requirements on Health Code Application

健康码申请要求更新

All passengers going to China shall conduct self-quarantine and closed management for at least 21 days before boarding, and they must sign the "Health Protection Commitment" and upload the health code together with other materials such as the test report. At present, the Chinese embassies in the following countries or regions have successively issued notices.

全体赴华人员在登机前进行至少21天自我隔离封闭管理，且本人需签署《健康防护承诺书》，连同检测报告等其他材料一并上传申领健康码。目前有下面几个国家或地区的中国大使馆相继发布通知。

An Additional Nucleic Acid Test 7 Days before Passengers to China

部分国家登机前需进行3次核酸检测和1次血清抗体检测

Recently, the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, and the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia have issued notices stating that passengers travelling to China must undergo 3 nucleic acid tests and 1 serum antibody test before boarding.

近期，驻英国使馆、驻缅甸使馆、驻柬埔寨使馆等发布通知，赴华乘客须在登机前需进行3次核酸检测和1次血清抗体检测。

Some Countries and Regions Resume Direct Entry into China for Foreigners Holding Three Types of Residence Permits

部分国家和地区恢复持三类居留许可外籍人员直接入境中国

The Chinese Embassy in France: Starting from September 2, 2021, French personnel holding a valid Chinese permanent residence permit and valid residence permit for work, reunion or private affairs are not required to apply for a visa when travel to China.

中国驻法国大使馆：自2021年9月2日起，持有效中国永久居留证件和持有效工作类、私人事务类和团聚类居留许可的法国人员赴华无需办理签证。

The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco: Starting from September 2, 2021, those who hold a valid residence permit for work, reunion or private affairs, do not need to send an email to submit a pre-review, and directly perform "dual testing" and apply for a health code as required.

中国驻美国旧金山总领馆：自2021年9月2日起，持有效工作、团聚或私人事务类居留许可人员，无需发邮件提交预审，直接按要求进行“双检测”并申请健康码。

Some Countries and Regions Can Apply for Z Visa without PU Letter

部分国家和地区申请Z签证免邀请函

The Chinese Embassy in Greece: To apply for a work-type Z visa, no invitation letter from the Foreign Affairs Office is required and no need to inoculate with Chinese Vaccine against COVID-19.

中国驻希腊大使馆：申请工作类Z字签证，不需要外事办邀请函（且无需接种中国产新冠疫苗）。

The Chinese Embassy in Korea: according to the facilitation measures between China and South Korea, South Korean citizens can apply for work visa (Z) with the valid work permit notification letter (or work permit, etc.) directly.

中国驻韩国大使馆：根据中韩人员往来便利化措施，韩国公民申请工作（Z字）签证，提交有效的《外国人工作许可通知》（或《外国人工作许可证》等)。

Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao: Macao foreign residents (including permanent or non-permanent) can apply for all categories of visas to the mainland of China. A proof of stay in the Macao SAR for at least 28 consecutive days before the date of application is necessarily required.

外交部驻澳门特派员公署：澳门外籍居民（含永久性和非永久性）可申请各类赴中国内地签证，并须提供近28天未离开澳门的居留证明。
