【商务短语】Above my paygrade

be above/beyond my paygrade 

(also: pay grade)

Definition: Involving a higher level of responsibility than you have, and therefore something that should be dealt with by someone more senior. This expression is often used figuratively to say that you do not have the knowledge or authority to decide about something. 

超出我职权范围的、超出我工作范围的、我能力范围以外的

Some of what the client asked was way above my paygrade. 

客人所提出的某些问题是我职权上完全没有办法回答的。

She declined to comment on the controversial tape, saying "That's above my paygrade."
