中国政法大学人权研究院第二届优秀大学生夏令营招生公告(附暑假班通知)
中国政法大学是一所以法学为特色和优势,兼有文学、历史学、哲学、经济学、管理学、教育学、理学、工学等学科的“211工程”重点建设大学,“‘985工程’优势学科创新平台”、“2011计划”和“111计划”(高校学科创新引智计划)重点建设高校,国家“双一流”建设高校,直属于国家教育部,正致力于建设世界一流大学和一流学科。
中国政法大学人权研究院是教育部和国务院新闻办公室在中国政法大学合作共建的国家人权教育与培训基地,也是我国首批建立的三个国家人权教育与培训基地之一。人权法学专业以人权研究院为依托,是我国大陆地区首个专门培养人权法学硕士研究生和博士研究生的专业。人权研究院培养了第一批人权法学专业的博士和硕士研究生、举办了第一个面向国内外师生的人权暑期课程、建成了第一个“人权建设与发展研究”智库团队并承担了首批国家人权教育与培训基地的建设任务、入选第一批“国家高端人权智库”建设培育单位。
为促进全国高校优秀大学生之间的互动与交流,提升优秀大学生对人权法学研究的认识与兴趣,人权研究院将于7月6日-8日在京举办2018年第二届优秀大学生夏令营,营员规模拟定10人。夏令营为校内外优秀学子提供走进法大、感受法大、感知名师的契机,表现突出者,更有机会获得优秀营员称号。
现将报名相关事宜通知如下:
一、夏令营举办日期及地点
夏令营举办日期:2018年7月6日- 8日
夏令营举办地点:中国政法大学学院路校区
夏令营营员规模:夏令营计划招收10名营员
二、申请条件
1.遵守宪法和法律,品德良好,身体健康,在学校学习期间未受任何处分。
2.就读“双一流”建设高校,或就读具有法学专业一级学科博士点的高校,或就读传统优势政法院校的本科三年级优秀法学专业在校生(2019年应届毕业生)。要求申请者学习成绩优秀,本科前6或5个学期综合成绩(或GPA)排名居本专业同年级同学前列,并有望获得2019年推免生资格。
3.申请人外语水平须满足下列条件之一:
(1)英语:国家六级水平考试成绩425分以上(含425分)或具有同等水平的托福、雅思、或GRE成绩。
(2)其它语种(含俄语、日语、德语、法语、意大利语和西班牙语):全国大学外语四级考试成绩合格,或具有与之水平相当的其他考试成绩证明。
4.申请专业与本科所学专业应当相同或相近,原则上不得跨一级学科报考。申请人本科专业以教育部学信网注册学籍信息为准。
5.对于在某方面有特殊才能的学生,如对报考专业有一定研究,有公开发表的科研论文(须独立创作)或著作,且达到较高水平的,申请条件可适当放宽要求。须由研究院研究生招生工作领导小组审查通过后,报学校研究生招生工作领导小组审查批准。
三、申请程序
申请人登录我校研究生院夏令营报名系统报名,并根据研究院要求提交申请材料。研究院将根据申请材料综合考量,确定入营学生名单并网上公布。

报名流程:注册->填写报名信息->上传照片->上传电子版申请材料
2.提交申请材料
申请人应按以下材料清单及要求在报名系统中上传电子版申请材料:
(1)《2018年优秀大学生夏令营申请表》1份,报名系统中下载打印,须盖公章。
(2)二代居民身份证复印件1份,正反面复印在同一页。
(3)《教育部学籍在线验证报告》中文版1份,教育部学信网下载打印(http://www.chsi.com.cn/),须将有效期延至3个月以上。
(4)本科前5或前6学期成绩单原件1份,须盖学校教务部门公章。
(5)国家英语水平考试成绩单复印件1份或其他能证明本人外语水平的正式成绩证明复印件1份。
(6)个人陈述1份,限两页,1000字左右。
(7)校级以上(含校级)获奖证书、发表的论文或著作等复印件。
(8)申请人所在院系出具的现实表现一份,内容包含但不限于对申请人的思想品德、学习生活、人际关系等方面的评价。现实表现需辅导员签字、盖章。(现实表现需要注明辅导员有效联系电话,研究院将电话回访对学生进行背景调查。)
注意:
1、未按要求提交申请材料或材料不全者,不予受理其申请。
2、电子版申请材料上传要求:材料按上述清单顺序排列并编号,逐项分别扫描成单独PDF格式文件,将所有文件打包为一个文件压缩包后上传,请勿设置文件查看或解压缩密码。
3、申请人网上报名填写信息与所提交申请材料必须保持一致,且申请信息务必真实、准确。凡提供虚假信息的,一经查实,取消入营资格或优秀营员资格。
四、夏令营活动安排

注:参加夏令营营员可以同时报名参加第十届人权暑期班,暑期班课程是7月2日 - 13日。参加第十届人权暑期班的同学需要单独报名,报名方式详见人权研究院网站:

五、审核录取
夏令营的材料审核与录取工作将在6月下旬结束,录取名单将在中国政法大学研究生招生网站上及人权研究院网站上公布,未入选者,不另行通知。
六、考核及评比
研究院将在夏令营活动期间采取多种方式对学生进行全面考核,考核内容包括外国语水平测试、专业笔试、专业面试等。
夏令营考核成绩采用百分制,各项成绩占比如下:
根据考核成绩评出“优秀营员”和“合格营员”。
1.“优秀营员”如获得就读学校2019年推免资格并报考我校入营学院、专业、研究方向,可不参加推免生复试直接录取,夏令营考核成绩即作为当年推免生入学考试成绩。
2.“合格营员”如获得就读学校2019年推免资格并报考我校入营学院、专业、研究方向,优先进入我校2019年推免生复试,同等条件下优先录取。
3.“优秀营员”或“合格营员”如未获得就读学校2019年推免资格,但在2019年全国统考中报考我校,同等条件下优先录取。
七、其他事项
1. 每名申请人限报一个学院。
2. 未按规定时间报到视为自愿放弃入营资格。
3. 学校为京外高校学生安排免费食宿,并报销本次从就读学校所在地到北京的单程硬座车票(需要提供车票)。学校为京内高校学生安排免费就餐,并提供一定交通补助,但不安排住宿。
4.学校为所有营员购买短期意外伤害保险一份。所有营员须签订《安全责任协议书》,因违反协议规定所造成的人身安全和财产损失,责任自负。
5.夏令营期间所有营员必须遵守中国政法大学有关规章制度和夏令营的要求与纪律,遵守夏令营的安排,按时参加活动,无故缺席者将被取消营员资格。
6.我校近期将赴相关高校进行招生宣传,请广大考生密切关注我校研究生院网站和招生微信公众号。
7.未尽事宜将不定期在研究生院或学院官方网站公布,请密切关注。

The 10th Human Rights Academy will be held at the Institute for Human Rights of CUPL from 2nd to 13th July, 2018.
The 10th Human Rights Academy is organized by Prof. Wei Zhang, Co-Director of Institute for Human Rights, CUPL. Summer School will be taught in English by foreign scholars.

Gudmundur Alfredsson
Focus on: Introduction to International Human Rights Law; Civil and Political Rights; Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; Minority and Indigenous Rights; How to get a UN job
Gudmundur Alfredsson, Master of Comparative Jurisprudence (MCJ) from the New York University Law School, and Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) from the Harvard Law School. He served as international civil servant in the United Nations Secretariat in New York (Office of Legal Affairs) and Geneva (Centre for Human Rights). Gudmundur Alfredsson has been awarded Honorary Member of the Indian Society of International Law, 2009; Knight of the Icelandic Falcon Order (Fálkaorean, awarded by the President in December 1998); Commander-first grade-of the Swedish Polar Star (Nordstjärnan, awarded by the King in November 1998).
Barry Craig

Barry Craig is the Principal of Huron University in London ON, Canada. Dr. Barry Craig holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kings College, a master's degree from Dalhousie University, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Wales.
Brian Burdekin AO
Focus on: National Human Rights Institutions; Business and Human Rights; The Convention against Torture; How to get a UN job
Brian Burdekin is a Visiting Professor of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Sweden, International Adviser to the National Human Rights Institutions in Africa, Asia and Central and Eastern Europe, and lecturers widely on the role of NHRIs. In the past 25 years, he has helped to establish such Commissions in over 70 countries.
Jonas Grimheden
Focus on: Human Rights in the European Union; Organizations Boosting Trade Between States Need a Human Rights Conscience-the Case of the European Union
Dr. Jonas Grimheden is the Head of Sector Access to Justice at the European Union’s human rights advisory body, and the Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in Vienna, Austria. He is presently working on the studies related to victims support services, fundamental rights indicators and the freedom to conduct a business. He is a specialist in international human rights law.
Bert Lockwood
Focus on: Human Rights and the United States; Women's Human Rights; Human Rights NGOs
Bert Lockwood is a Distinguished Service Professor and the Director of the renowned Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights, the first endowed institute at an American law school devoted to the study of international human rights. Since 1982, he has been editor-in-chief of the Human Rights Quarterly and has been involved in international human rights for over 40 years.
Florence Benoit-Rohmer
Focus on: Freedom of Religion; European Human Rights Protection Mechanisms
Florence Benoit-Rohmer holds a PhD degree in Public Law, the President of the Université Robert Schuman (URS), Strasbourg from 2003 to 2008. She is also a member of the scientific committees of several international journals specialized in human rights, and in particular minority rights. Her research interests range from the study of Fundamental Rights in the EU, the Council of Europe, the European Convention on Human Rights and other conventions.
Christophe Peschoux
Focus on: Introduction to UN human rights mechanisms: Special Procedures; Introduction to UN human rights mechanisms: Universal Periodic Review; Human Rights and Cultural Values
Christophe Peschoux, he is the head of the section at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights supporting the work of six special procedures mandate holders since January 2014. He studied political and moral philosophy, history and civilizations of Southeast Asia, and rural development in the universities of Montpellier, Paris VII and Geneva (1977-1980). Christophe Peschoux has been working for the past 30 years in the fields of humanitarian, human rights and refugee protection.
Sara Macdonald
Focus on: Feminism, Women's Rights and Popular Culture
Sara Macdonald is a Professor and the Director of the Great Books Program at St. Thomas University, a liberal arts college in Fredericton NB, Canada. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the St Thomas University and her master's degree and Ph.D. degree from the Fordham University.
Petter Wille
Focus on: International Human Rights Law; Human Rights in Norway
Petter Wille took up the function as the Director of Norway’s National Human Rights Institution since 1 January 2016. He was a teacher and external examiner of human rights, administrative law and international law at the University of Oslo. He hold the position as the Chairman of a working group established by the UN Commission on Human Rights on the establishment of a Permanent Forum for Indigenous People. He was also appointed as the Chairman of a rapporteur group for human rights in the Council of Europe.
Ineta Ziemele
Focus on: International Law; European Court of Human Rights
Ineta Ziemele was elected as the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia since 8 May 2017. She has been a member of the Commission of Strategic Analysis under the Auspices of the President of Latvia and of the Committee of Experts on Constitutional Law established by the President. She has served as an expert in numerous international projects, inter alia. She has been the member of the European Commission E-health expert group and a member of a group of experts on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

HOW TO APPLY
The 10th Human Rights Summer Academy will be organized in two parts: “International Human Rights Protection and Monitoring Mechanism” (2nd to 6th July) and “Legal Protection of Human rights” (9th to 13th July). The Institute for Human Rights will select about 60 candidates who should have a college degree, preferably in law or with some studies in law.
Furthermore, the course is offered to participants free of charge. Transportation expenses and accommodation should be paid by the participants themselves. All relevant information and the application form are available on our website:

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
Since 2009, Institute for Human Rights at China University of Political Science and Law offered opportunities for international as well as domestic university students and social workers to participate in the Human Rights Summer Course and communicate with world-class scholars as well as fantastically brilliant teachers of human rights. It aims at helping students expand their understanding of the developing processes and basic principles of human rights, strengthening the comprehension according to the international human rights. Up to now, over one thousand students from some 50 Chinese and foreign universities participated in this program.
The 10th CUPL Human Right Summer Academy has been supported by the Ministry of Education of PRC, China University of Political Science and Law, Beiqi Foton Co. Ltd., United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner, Emory University, Huron University College and Norwegian Centre for Human Rights.
