跨越三大洲的国际教育联盟宝石计划启动，中外三校校长联袂解读领导力培养

3月20日，GEM国际教育高峰论坛将在华师双语大剧院举行，中外三所私校顶级校长领衔解读全球化教育与领导力培养。

领导力对许多人来说是个既熟悉又陌生的概念。熟悉是因为它无处不在，上至国家，下至家庭，都需要人的领导里。说它陌生是因为，还有许多人不了解领导力的重要性。

美国教育体系中的“领导力”不是指属于少数人的权力或者发号施令，而是每个人都可以拥有的一种能力——不断地完成自我成长，同时还能鼓励和带领他人共同前进，为世界带来改变。许多世界顶尖大学，如哈佛大学、耶鲁大学和普林斯顿大学，都明确指出需要学生具有领导力，可以成为先锋和领袖。

那么，这种“领导力”到底是何物？对学生有哪些要求？作为教育者，又该如何在实践中培养学生的领导力呢？

3月20日（本周三），华东师范大学附属双语学校将举办“宝石联盟”(GEM Alliance)国际教育高峰论坛，论坛主题就是“全球化教育变革中青年学生领导力的培养”。

“宝石联盟”是由美国Groton School、华师双语（ECNUAS）、博茨瓦纳 Maru-a-Pula School三所学校缔结的校际联盟。

届时，三位校长分别就全球外交教育、东方学生领导力和培养富有同情心的忠诚领导者发表演讲。此外，论坛还将启动GEM宝石联盟项目，并围绕“全球化教育变革中青年学生领导力的培养”展开讨论。

Groton School is a private Episcopal college preparatory boarding school located in Groton, Massachusetts, United States. It enrolls about 382 boys and girls, from the eighth through twelfth grades. Groton School was founded in 1884 by the Rev. Endicott Peabody, a member of a prominent Massachusetts family and an Episcopal clergyman. The school is a member of the Independent School League. There are many famous alumni in business, government and the professions, including Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Temba Maqubela

Temba Maqubela先生是美国著名的教育家，同样也是一位专业的化学教师。1993年在白宫被授予卓越教师奖（the White House Distinguished Teacher Award），曾任教于菲利普斯学院（Phillips Academy），2013年出任格罗顿中学（Groton School）的校长。

Temba Tebogo Maqubela took over as Groton School’s headmaster on July 1, 2013; he is the eighth headmaster since the School’s founding in 1884.He landed his first U.S. teaching job at a public school in Long Island City. Among Mr. Maqubela’s many honors are a White House Distinguished Teacher Award in 1993，the University of Kentucky’s Lyman T. Johnson Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1994, and his 2002 induction into the Northeast Section of the American Chemical Society’s Aula Laudis Society, honoring excellence in secondary school chemistry teaching.

Gloria Gong龚德辉

龚德辉，华师双语创校校长，拥有超过40年教育经验，曾申办三所IB世界学校，曾任上海进才中学、建平中学、平和双语校长，上海知名教育工作者，IB理念的实践者和中西融合教育的改革和开拓者。上海市劳动模范、全国“五一”劳动奖章和“全国优秀教育工作者”称号获得者。

Gloria successively served as the main leader in two municipal experimental and demonstrative high schools and one non-state-run international school in shanghai. She also followed Shanghai educational delegation to visit many countries and regions, such as America, France, Korea, Taiwan, Hongkong. She was awarded the National May 1st Labor Medal, National Excellent Educator and also Working model in Shanghai, Advanced Worker of Moral Education in Pudong New Area and Woman Pace-setter of Pudong New Area.

Maru-a-Pula School

来自博茨瓦纳

Maru-a-Pula学校是一所男女同校的日间寄宿制中学，建立于博茨瓦纳哈博罗内。该学校成立于1972年，是由一家非营利性信托基金投资，建立在博茨瓦纳政府捐赠的50英亩土地上。 MaP的2019年入学人数为805名，其中68％为博茨瓦纳公民，32％来自36个不同国家。创始校长Deane Yates以非种族理想为基础发起了学校，以社区外展为核心原则，学校旨在培养致力于帮助社区富有同情心的领导者。

Maru-a-Pula School (MaP) is a co-educational, independent day & boarding secondary school rooted in Gaborone, Botswana. Founded in 1972, MaP was established as a non-profit trust built on 50 acres of land donated by the Botswana Government. MaP’s 2019 enrolment is 805 students of whom 68% are citizens of Botswana while 32% come from 36 different nations. The founding Principal, Deane Yates, launched the school based on non-racial ideals, with community outreach as a core principle. The school aims to nurture leaders who are deeply committed to helping their communities.

Andrew Taylor

In 1977, Andy received a letter offering him his first job in education. In 1980, Andy began work at the Maru-a-Pula School in Botswana. In 2004, Andy began his work as MaP’s Principal where he initiated a scholarship programme for orphans and vulnerable children. Now in its 15th year, the programme is in line with the school’s philosophy of inclusion and diversity. Andy visited schools in Hong Kong and Beijing in 2011 and he was a member of a Botswana delegation hosted by the Shanghai Normal University Teacher’s College in 2014. He was an African continent panelist at the World Leading Schools conference held at Jiaotong University in 2017.
