An opening ceremony for the 2024 Year of the Dragon Spring Festival event was held at the Shandong Arts and Crafts Exhibition Center in Jinan on Feb 2.
2月2日，伴随着小年的到来，“手造新元年 重拾老年味儿”2024龙年春节活动在山东手造展示体验中心盛大启幕。
The event is intended to bridge the past and the present and aims to help people experience and understand traditional folk culture through vivid traditional performances and Chinese New Year goods.
该活动旨在帮助人们触摸、回味和体悟优秀传统民俗文化，以具象的年俗表演与年货连接历史与现在，以时代精神激活中华优秀传统文化的生命力，用文化凝心聚力，为发展注入精神力量。
From Feb 10 to 17, various cultural activities will be held at the center. The event will feature a selection of 16 Shandong cities' characteristic Yellow River grand markets for Chinese New Year goods, recreating the familiar scenes of bustling markets from people's childhoods.
此次“手造新元年 重拾老年味儿”活动将在2月10日至2月17日期间推出形式多样、精彩纷呈的文化活动。精选山东16市特色的黄河年货大集，为广大市民重现儿时赶大集的亲切场景。
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy interactive games such as pot throwing, riddle guessing, and red string blessings to welcome the Chinese New Year.
游客们将有机会参开年投壶、猜灯谜、红绳祈福等游戏互动，体验传统游戏的同时感受别样趣味。
Traditional performances such as lion and dragon dances will add a vibrant and authentic touch to the Spring Festival celebration.
舞狮、舞龙等传统“绝活”喜闹新春，载歌载舞，原汁原味的民俗演出，将成为济南新春一道靓丽的风景线。
Throughout the event, the Shandong Arts and Crafts Exhibition Center will showcase distinctive folk culture traditions from across the country and the province, creating a Spring Festival fair that integrates cultural experiences, entertainment, and shopping.
