Visa expiry date is very important for all expats, which would bring you trouble if you don't pay enough attention!!! 

"000" is not valid time, and you should pay 

attention to these words below!

If you want to stay China for a long time, you should change Z visa to Residence Permit within valid time.

Residence Permit 

The consequences of illegal stay include penalty, bad record and possible detention or deportation, With a bad record, it will be more difficult for you to come to China next time! When circumstances are serious, even will be refused entry into China!

A Work Permit is the only method to legally work in China.

It is issued overseas based on: 

  1) Having secured a job in China. 

  2) Presenting the official invitation documents at your home consulate/embassy.

Work Permit 

With the above you can get a Work (Z) visa. Once you arrive in China, your employer will assist in converting it to a residence permit, together with your work permit/expert certificate allowing you to work legally in China.

Three types of work permit:

  1) Ordinary work permit, known as an Alien Employment Permit

  2) Two types of Experts Certificates issued by the Foreign Experts bureau

    a. One for teachers at officially licensed institutions (e.g. not training centers that are registered as ordinary companies)

    b. The non-education one is for senior talents
