JD for a principal scientist position

Major Responsibilities: 

1. Lead a small project team to drive execution of development efforts of NK cell therapy candidates

2. Develop and refine NK cell process definition and define product characterization parameters

3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to advance product development

4. Maintain an accurate and updated laboratory notebook

5. Maintain compliance with GLP and EHS protocols

6. Prepare reports, publications, oral presentations and patent application documents

7. Prepare IND filing and tech transfer documents

Education:

1. Ph. D. in Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology, Immunology or related fields

2. MS with extensive relevant experience

Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience of the field of NK biology and immunotherapy

2. 2+ years of supervisory experience in an industry setting

3. Extensive hands-on experience with NK cell based cell therapy product and assay development

4. Extensive experience with upstream process development and downstream tech-transfer

Key Capabilities, Knowledge, and Skills:  

1. Great understanding of the drug development process and NK cell therapy

2. Track record of productivity evidenced by publications or patents

3. Experience with different culture vessels to scale-up/scale-down process

4. Extensive cell characterization assay development skills

5. Extensive multi-color flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine and cytotoxicity assay skills

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills

7. Experience with formulation of a cellular product is a plus

8. GMP and IND filing experience is preferred
