塞斯·阿姆斯特朗的画作和伊莎贝拉·桑塔克罗斯的语录被纳入MSGM的新收藏

CHI - The Art Manifestation in a World of Commerce



意大利时尚品牌MSGM推出了2021年男装春夏系列和2021年女装度假系列。该品牌的创意总监马西莫·乔尔盖蒂(Massimo Giorgetti)的灵感来自他最喜欢的意大利作家伊莎贝拉·桑塔克罗斯(Isabella Santacroce)写的小说《Fluo:里乔内的年轻人故事》。书中的主要主题是夏天,与朋友的会面,日落时的聚会和黎明时的约会。在男装系列中,设计师再次转向街头风格,结合了制服和运动服的特点。一些衬衫和西装上装饰着洛杉矶艺术家塞斯·阿姆斯特朗(Seth Armstrong)的印花图案。



The Italian fashion brand MSGM presented the Men's Spring/Summer 2021 and Women`s Resort 2021 collections. Working on them, the brand's creative director Massimo Giorgetti was inspired by his favorite novel  “Fluo: Stories of Young People in Riccione”  by the Italian writer Isabella Santacroce. Major themes in the book are summer, meetings with friends, parties at sunset and dating at dawn. In the men's collection, the designer once again turned to street style, combining the features of uniforms and sportswear. Some shirts and suits were decorated with prints by the LA-based artist artist Seth Armstrong.

The collection was presented during the Milan Fashion week via a short video directed by Luca Finotti. The director reflected the same summer vibes that Giorgetti imagined while reading Santacroce`s novel.  The main message of the collection of hope and togetherness was “Non so dove, ma insieme” (I don`t know where, but together). “…Can`t stop thinking how emotional, strong, and beautiful it was. Two weeks have passed and my phone still rings, I still get texts from people who have watched (or rewatched) this video”, – stated the designer on his Instagram account. “It`s amazing that something so genuine and simple, just like we wanted it to be, has touched so many hearts…I hope this is the kind of energy we will bring with us for what`s to come.” Giorgetti also added that it was the first MSGM`s fully-sustainable collection in 100% organic cotton, printed with chemical-free biodegradable ink. Thus the designer declared a new vector of brand development – to produce a sustainable fashion.

Special attention in the new MSGM collection is given to prints created by Seth Armstrong, who works in the genre of hyperrealism. For five years, the artist studied painting in the Netherlands, but after graduating he decided to leave the classical painting to find a place in contemporary art. According to Armstrong, art should entertain the viewer, otherwise they will continue to pass by modern paintings. That is why the artist constantly looks for new forms and is attracted to small details that can easily depict a surreal object in everyday conditions.
