理查德・威赫(1982年生于蒂尔堡),专注于数据可视化的艺术家和设计师。他将现实中不可见的技术维度可视化,创造多感官的数据体验。他的作品提供对数据的诗意解释,并探讨人类视角与数字网络、算法和无线通信的无形世界之间的对话。

Richard Vijgen (b. 1982, Tilburg) is an artist and designer whose work focuses on artistic data visualization. He creates multi-sensorial data experiences that visualize the invisible technological dimensions of reality. His work provides poetical interpretations of data and proposes a dialog between the human perspective and the disembodied world of digital networks, algorithms and wireless communication.


Founded in 2009, Studio Richard Vijgen has been evolving into an experimental practice that explores new technologies, interactions and aesthetics to visualize the invisible. Richard Vijgen’s work has been exhibited in and collected by museums and art institutions across the world including Centre Pompidou, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Barbican Gallery, ZKM, Ars Electronica, Vitra Design Museum and Manifesta 12.


Richard Vijgen lectures at the department of Art Design and Technology at ArtEZ school of Art and Design and frequently serves as a guest lecturer at art schools and universities. He has received a number of awards and prizes including the Dutch Design Awards, Prix Ars Electronica, European Design Award and S+T+ARTS. Richard Vijgen writes about data visualization and digital culture and has published articles in the Yale Architectural Journal, Volume Magazine, New Challenges for Data Design and the Parsons Journal for Information Mapping.


Susanne M. Winterling

Susanne M. Winterling (they/them/she) born in Rehau, works across a range of media to explore the sentient economy, cultures and transformations of elements and materialisations. Forms and materials trace species and the elements in today’s challenging geopolitical context. Winterling’s practice reflects upon political as well as aesthetic entanglements and power structures among human/ animal/matter. She remains focused on historical feminist practices and the commons and puts spotlight on different ways of knowledge through embodiment and cosmologies. Her time-based installations critically engage the representation of reality. Prevailing modernistic concepts, power structures and hierarchical historiographies are captured and investigate often what pure information and form leaves out -- including a sensual approach to media and material informed by the understanding of immersion and power as energy flows.


Since 2018 the artistic research project “Planetary sensing: navigation below the surface” (https://planetarysensing.com/) circles with bioluminescence on topics of social sculpture and environmental violence as well as bio-sensing and citizen science in collaboration with an interdisciplinary group of artists, scientists, researchers and poets. Winterling is currently professor of material and medium based arts at Khio Oslo the National Academy of the Arts Oslo Norway. 许家维(1983年出生于台中),现工作与居住于台北。2016年毕业于法国国立当代艺术工作室,作为艺术家、导演和策展人,他的作品融合了当代艺术和电影语汇,发掘图像创作过程背后的复杂生产机制。在艺术实践的方式上,特别著力于影像创作背后的行动性,并透过建立镜头以外的事件,连结正规历史描述所未及的人、物质与地方的关系。


曾于台北尊彩艺术中心(2021)、北师美术馆(2019)、森美术馆(2018)等机构举办个展。参与过的联展包括釜山双年展(2022)、爱知三年展(2022)、亚太三年展(2021)、新加坡双年展(2019)、荷兰国家电影资料馆(2019)、光州、釜山、上海及悉尼双年展(2018)等。他身兼策展人角色所策划的展览包括亚洲艺术双年展(国立台湾美术馆,台中,2019)以及台湾国际录像艺术展(凤甲美术馆,台北,2018)。


Hsu Chia-Wei (b.1983, Taichung), graduate of Le Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Arts in France, Chia-Wei Hsu’s work as an artist, filmmaker and curator merges the languages of film and contemporary art and unearths the complex mechanisms behind the production of images. Through his artistic practice, Hsu weaves connections between humans, materials and places that have been overlooked or omitted in conventional historical narratives.


Hsu held solo exhibitions at Liang Gallery (2021; Taipei), Museum of National Taipei University of Education (2019; Taipei), and Mori Art Museum (2018; Tokyo, Japan). He has participated in group shows and commissioned projects in Aichi Triennale, Asia Pacific Triennale, the Biennials of Singapore, Shanghai, Gwangju, Busan and Sydney, Eye Filmmuseum and Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media.


He is also the curator of Asian Art Biennial at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (2019; Taichung) and Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition at Hong-Gah Museum (2018; Taipei).

The multimedia works of Yuri Pattison are complex while their aesthetics often seem anti-illusionistic and poetic. For example, the Irish artist programmes artificial sunrises, thus making the materiality of digital technology visible. Using a research-based approach, he grapples with the elusive realms between the virtual and the physical — and, in doing so, with our present. Yuri Pattison explores how new technologies — such as the digital economy or online communication — fundamentally affect and modify the conditions of social life. How do these technologies influence our everyday lives and the perception of our environment? How do they structure our perception of space and time?

Jeroen van Loon is a Dutch artist researching and visualizing current digital culture through the lens of ephemerality and permanence.

His work is exhibited internationally at venues such as Centre Pompidou, Transmediale, IDFA Doclab, Aksioma, Long March Space, Centraal Museum, HMKV | Dortmunder U, IMPAKT festival, Verbeke Foundation, SPRING performing arts festival, Nemo Biennale, V2_, Cairotronica, KIKK Festival and MU Artspace.


He received the K.F. Hein Kunststipendium, the European Youth Award, was nominated for the New Technological Art Award (NTAA) 2022 and is part of the Brave New World Speaking Agency as a speaker on art and technology.


Van Loon (b. 1985 in Hertogenbosch, lives and works in Utrecht) received a bachelor in Digital Media Design and a European Media Master of Arts from the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht.
