Somalia is a country in Africa. It borders Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, Kenya to the southwest, and the Indian Ocean to the east. The capital city of Somalia is Mogadishu and its official languages are Somali and Arabic.

索马里是非洲的一个国家。东西接吉布提，西与埃塞俄比亚接壤，西南接肯尼亚，东与印度洋。索马里的首都是摩加迪沙，官方语言是索马里语和阿拉伯语。

National Flag 国旗

The national flag of Somalia has a blue background and a white five-pointed star in the middle. The star is known as the "Star of Unity."

索马里国旗为蓝色底、中间一颗白色五角星。这颗星被称为“团结之星”。

Currency 货币

The currency used in Somalia is the Somali Shilling.

索马里使用的货币是索马里先令。

Mogadishu 摩加迪沙

Mogadishu is the capital city of Somalia. It is locally known as Xamar or Hamar. Located in the coastal Banadir region on the Somali Sea, the city has served as an important port for millennia.

摩加迪沙是索马里的首都。它在当地被称为Xamar或Hamar。该市位于索马里海沿岸的巴纳迪尔地区，数千年来一直是重要的港口。

Bosaso 博萨索

The city of Bosaso is the largest and fastest-growing in the northeastern part of Somalia, Puntland, and one of the largest in Somalia. It has served as a refueling station for maritime transport between the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf ports and has also become an important commercial point of entry.

博萨索是索马里东北部邦特兰最大、增长最快的城市，也是索马里最大的城市之一。它是红海和波斯湾港口之间海上运输的加油站，也是重要的商业入境点。

Hargeisa 哈尔吉萨

Hargeisa is the capital of the self-proclaimed republic of Somaliland. Apart from the occasional couch surfer, there is very little tourism (and no tourist industry), as almost all visitors are working for an NGO or other organization. The city is a peaceful and friendly place but does require some planning to ensure a successful visit.

Attractions 景点

Bakara Market in Mogadishu is a street market, which displays an array of food items, clothes and ornaments. The street food items are irresistible and made with the most simple and basic condiments found in Somalia.

Sinbusi Beach is also one of the most sought-after Tourist Attractions in the country. Just 5 kilometers away from the city of Merca.

By far the best-known and most popular landmark in Somalia is Laas Geel, a series of caves that display hundreds of ancient Neolithic paintings. The rock art in these caves is arguably some of the best-preserved anywhere in the world, dating back to 9000 BC.

Somalia is rich in natural beauty. One of the most popular parks is Kismayu National Park in the southwest region. Kismayu is home to many animals that are native to the East African region, like the Somali sheep and the Somali wild donkey. There are many opportunities for outdoor adventures, including wildlife safari tours to observe such African game as lions, leopards, zebras, wild boars, and antelopes.

There are several beaches in Somalia, but the beach area which takes the cake is the Berbera Seaside in the Sahil region near Hargeisa. The Berbera Seaside area boasts gorgeous beaches which are not yet spoiled by tourism and over development, the bluest waters, and the softest sands.

索马里有好几个海滩，但最好的是哈尔基萨附近萨希尔地区的贝贝拉海滨。贝贝拉海滨地区的海滩还没有被旅游业和过度开发破坏，有最蓝的水域和最柔软的沙滩。

Somalia abounds with natural landmarks, one of which is popular with locals. The twin hills of Naasa Hablood, situated on the outskirts of Hargeisa city, are sometimes referred to as 'Virgin's Breast Mountains' because of their shape when looked at from a side view.

索马里也有丰富的自然地标，最受到当地人欢迎的是位于哈尔基萨市郊区的纳萨哈布卢德双山，也被称为“圣母胸山”，因为从侧面看着它们的形状像女性的胸。

Note: Somalia is currently a very dangerous destination for potential travelers. Governments in several countries have even issued warnings against traveling to this country, for reasons such as terrorism, kidnappings and other types of violent crime.
