最古老的一种艺术起源说是“艺术源于对自然的模仿”,模仿可视、可测量的自然世界则可以达到美的境地。随着人们作为主体对内在精神需要的抒发、人文主义观念的创作实践,各类感性形象的视觉符号也成了体现精神理念的载体。

 

现代科技的发展已经使我们怀疑曾经所熟知的物质世界,也使我们几近丧失了对“感知的意义与真实性”的信仰,而艺术家李勇尚顿坚持认为自我内在感知是绝对真实且富于价值的,并认为主观意识是作为艺术家可以对之忠实的。

李勇尚顿擅长利用综合材料以色彩和线条为符号,表达有形或无形的抽象体积、线条空间,在客观物质之外设立抽象的理念世界。当他作为观察者借物抒情式地描绘具象时,不可避免存在美化、表达隐讳的情形;当他转向主观本体的自觉意识,转而用绘画为一切细节所服务。

 

艺术批判需要与佛家平衡调试之间的长时间纠葛后,李勇尚顿最终达成自洽。他热衷于呈现人与环境的联系和冲突,梳理现实生活中存在的不确定性,在创作中以空间与维度的突破去化解矛盾,同时将能量与温度赋予画面之中。

宇宙没有尽头,空间和时间也终将失去意义。李勇尚顿认为当把个体意识处于时间长河中的一个短暂节点,既可以轻松地接纳目前的虚无与怀疑,也能够更为精密地观察自认为有价值的事物、细致地表达所观察之物。读到这里,希望李勇尚顿的作品能给大家带来某一种有关于思的启示。





One of the oldest origins of art is that it originates from the imitation of nature. By imitating the visible and measurable natural world, people can reach the realm of beauty. With human's desire for inner spirit and human's creation practice in humanism, all kinds of perceptual visual symbols have become the carrier to embody spiritual concept.

The development of modern technology has made us doubt the material world as we knew and lose the faith in authenticity and the meaning of perception. However, artist Li Yong still insists that people’s inner perception is valuable and authentic, is what that artists can be faithful to.

微光 Shimmer, 2021

Li Yong is good at using mixed media, taking colors and lines as symbols to express abstract volume and line space, building an abstract world of ideas out of objective materials. In his previous work, he depicted objects from the perspective of an observer, so it is unavoidable to beautify objects and express obscurity. Nowadays, Li Yong likes to use abstract methods to express his inner consciousness subjectively without worrying about whether there are obstacles in emotional expression.


Li Yong find a self-consistency between the needs of art criticism and thoughts of Buddhism after a long dispute. He is keen on presenting the connections and conflicts between human and environment, combing the uncertainties in real life, resolving the contradictions with the breakthrough of space and dimension in his creation, and adding power and warmth to the creations.

The universe has no boundary, in other words, space and time will eventually lose their meaning. Li Yong believes that when individual consciousness is regarded as a node in time, he can not only accept the doubts about the present easily, but also observe and express things more carefully.
