1Modern agricultural value chains and the future of smallholder farming systems

摘要（中英文）：Smallholder farms continue to play a prominent role in many developing countries.A substantial debate has emerged regarding the future role of smallholder farms as a means to lift rural households out of poverty and contribute to food security as part of modern agricultural value chains.We build a conceptual model to compare household income and total food output under smallholder production versus a hypothetical setting wherein households cease engaging as farm owner-operators,but supply land and labor to consolidated commercial farms.Based on the empirical literature,we calibrate the model to quantify the advantages in acquiring working capital and output marketing that can plausibly accrue to large-scale farming operations and offset any labor efficiency decrement compared to smallholder farms.Results show that households can earn more from renting out land and labor into competitive factor markets for a wide range of plausible market conditions.The higher the price premium commanded by and less the loss in labor efficiency on large farms,and the tighter the credit constraints on smallholders,the greater is the income advantage from supplying inputs to large farms over operating small farms.An output advantage also accrues to large farms under similar conditions.

摘要（中英文）：In most developing countries,crop sales represent ameans of improving the nutritional status of rural households. However,the expected effect of farm income may or may not be achieved, depending on whocontrols it. In this study,we use panel data on rural households in BurkinaFaso to analyze the effect of the wives’share of farm revenue on nutritionaloutcomes.The estimates show that raising wives’shareof farm revenue increases household food demand and nutrition quality.Moreover, the effect of the wives’share of farmrevenue on household nutrition is greater than the effect of the overall incomeper capita, which indicates that the intrahousehold distribution of farm incomeaffects household nutritional status.We also show that increase in foodexpenditure and, more specifically,reallocation of the budget toward highlynutritious foods could represent a channel through which the control of farmrevenue by women improves the household dietary quality.These findings imply that facilitating women's access to productive resources,such as land andlabor-saving technologies,could be the fastest way to improve household food and nutritional security.

3Factors Affecting Green Agricultural Production Financing Behavior in Heilongjiang Family Farms: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach

摘要（中英文）：Adhering to large-scale agricultural operations is one of the basic ways to develop green agriculture, and it is also an inevitable choice for the development of modern agriculture in the country. Among them, as a major agricultural production province in China, the development of family farms in Heilongjiang Province has a significant impact on green agriculture. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), this study takes the 222-demonstration bases of family farms evaluated in Heilongjiang Province in 2019 as samples and constructs a structural equation model (SEM) to discuss the influence of participation in the family farms in green agricultural production financing behavior in-depth based on directional design, distribution, recycling, and sorting out questionnaires. The research found that the financing willingness of the farmers is determined by the attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavior system of the family farm manager, and the financing willingness of the farmers and perceived behavioral control are determined by the financing behavior of the farmers. Among them, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have a significant positive impact on financing intention and have a further effect on financing behavior. Financing willingness and perceived behavioral control have a direct effect on financial behavior and have a significant positive effect on it. This article aims to improve and enhance the financing environment for family farms to participate in green agriculture, to increase the enthusiasm of the new agricultural operators to participate in green agriculture.
坚持农业规模化经营是发展绿色农业的基本途径之一，也是国家发展现代农业的必然选择。其中，作为我国农业生产大省，黑龙江省家庭农场的发展对绿色农业具有显着影响。本研究基于计划行为理论（TPB），以黑龙江省2019年评估的222个家庭农场示范基地为样本，构建结构方程模型（SEM），探讨家庭农场参与对家庭农场参与的影响。绿色农业生产融资行为基于定向设计、分配、循环利用、问卷整理等方式深入研究。研究发现，农户融资意愿由家庭农场经营者的态度、主观规范和感知行为体系决定，而农户融资意愿和感知行为控制则由农户融资行为决定。其中，态度、主观规范、感知行为控制对融资意愿有显着正向影响，进而对融资行为产生影响。融资意愿和感知行为控制对金融行为有直接影响，并对其产生显着的正向影响。本文旨在改善和提升家庭农场参与绿色农业的融资环境，提高新型农业经营者参与绿色农业的积极性。

4Government Policy for the Procurement of Food from Local Family Farming in Brazilian Public Institutions.

摘要（中英文）：This study aims to explore and compare Brazilian public institutional food services' characteristics concerning the implementation of the government policy for the procurement of food from family farming (FF) and the opinions of food service managers on the benefits and difficulties of its implementation. We conducted a cross-sectional study employing an online questionnaire. The results were stratified by purchase. The Chi-square and Fisher's Exact tests were applied. Five hundred forty-one food services' managers participated in the study. Most claimed to buy food from FF, and this acquisition was more frequent among those working in institutions of municipalities <50,000 inhabitants, and educational and self-managed institutions. Those buying from FF developed more actions to promote healthy and sustainable food. Most recognized that the purchase could boost local farming and the economy and improve the institution's food. However, the managers believe that the productive capacity of FF, the lack of technical assistance to farmers, production seasonality, and the bureaucratic procurement process hinder this type of purchase. The self-management of food services and the small size of the municipality might be associated with implementing the direct purchase policy from FF, which can contribute to building healthier and more sustainable food systems. However, the lack of public management support and the weak productive fabric may pose an obstacle to its maintenance or dissemination. The strengthening and consolidation of these policies require more significant government investments in productive infrastructure for family farming.

摘要（中英文）：Live streaming (LS) is considered to be a sustainable marketing strategy for regions with special agricultural products affected by the environment because of its potential to reduce sales risk and solve customer trust issues. This paper aims to explore the factors that influence Chinese flower and seedling family farms’ adoption intention of LS. An extended planning behavior theory (TPB) including government support and knowledge is used as the theoretical basis for this research. The sample collection adopted stratified random sampling. An effective sample of 356 was obtained through a face-to-face survey of flower and seedling family farms in Shuyang, China. The structural equation modeling (SEM) test results showed that subjective norms and knowledge were key dimensions, followed by government support, then attitude and perceived behavior control. In addition, the explanatory power of the extended TPB model increased by 4%. The results of the interview also found that young operators are more willing to accept LS. This research filled the study gap in the application of LS in agricultural commerce. It is recommended that decision-makers raise family farm operators’ awareness of LS sales and provide more LS sales demonstrations to promote the LS adoption of flower and seedling family farms.
