拾萬石家庄 | 即将展出 | 李欣遥（犬子）：最初的晚餐
犬子，本名李欣遥，1996年10月17日生于福建福州，2022年毕业于中国美术学院国画系，于2024年7月24日意外去世。我们经与家属协商，怀着无比悲痛的心情，继续完成与犬子的约定。
Quan Zi, whose given name was Li Xinyao, was born on October 17, 1996, in Fuzhou, Fujian. She graduated from the Chinese Academy of Art with a major in Chinese Painting in 2022 and tragically passed away on July 24, 2024. After discussions with her family, and with immense sorrow, we have decided to fulfill our commitment to her.

这本来就是一次计划中的展览：时间是在2023年9月，我们在犬子的工作室看作品聊天，那时，画廊刚刚签订了位于太行山井陉的教堂空间，当犬子看过空间的照片后，拿出自己的草稿本说：“我要在教堂空间做我的个展，展览名字就叫《最初的晚餐》。”大家深以为然，展览名称就在那一刻定了下来。
2023年12月底，犬子与我们一行人开车来到井陉，一进入到教堂空间，犬子便讲：“这个地方，就是我第一个个展的地方，我可是太喜欢这里了。” 然后，按照时间进度排期，犬子的第一个个展的时间、地点、名称均敲定了下来。
以上是关于犬子个展的沟通过程。本次展览的作品是基于犬子近十年创作的作品，其中，有24件是其上大学期间（2018-2022）的数码绘画作品；50件左右的工笔绘画和装置作品；30件左右“最初的晚餐”系列作品；另有20多件完成一半的作品；以及60多件艺术家精心挑选但尚未使用的老画框。
本次展览中的原作按照220的系数定价，数码绘画作品采用100的系数，未完成的作品以议价的方式定价，空画框则按照尺寸、成本酌情定价（也希望从事艺术创作的人继续使用它们）。拾萬空间除收取10%的代理费用以支付相关税费及杂费外，所有作品销售所得皆留给犬子亲属。
在此，我们感谢摄影师唐经志对所有作品的拍摄存档，感谢金亚楠、吴越之、王雨萱以及众多犬子的同学、好友对所有作品的整理、打包和记录，以及在此期间默默的帮助。

关于艺术家
犬子长期投入于边缘题材的创作，在传统东方绘画语言的基础上展开对生死、宗教、魔幻现实的讨论。作品中的具象物体以非常规的状态出现，以非现实的方式扭曲、组合。综合性材料的使用制造了空间的延伸，更多层地容纳被遗弃之物、被感召之物、以及感而未应之物，将绘画建立起的特殊空间作为存储记忆、寻找信仰的场所。

Quan Zi, whose given name was Li Xinyao, was born on October 17, 1996, in Fuzhou, Fujian. She graduated from the Chinese Academy of Art with a major in Chinese Painting in 2022 and tragically passed away on July 24, 2024. After discussions with her family, and with immense sorrow, we have decided to fulfill our commitment to her.
This was originally planned to be an exhibition: In September 2023, we were in her studio, viewing her works and chatting. At that time, the gallery had just signed a contract for a church space located in Jingxing, Taihang Mountains. After seeing photos of the space, she took out her sketchbook and said, “I want to have my solo exhibition in this church space, and the exhibition will be called The Initial Supper. Everyone agreed, and the name of the exhibition was decided at that moment.
At the end of December 2023, she and a group of us drove to Jingxing. As soon as she entered the church space, she said, “This place, this is where I’ll hold my first solo exhibition. I love it here so much.” Then, according to the timeline, the date, location, and name of her first solo exhibition were all finalized.
The above describes the process of planning her solo exhibition. The works in this exhibition are based on nearly a decade of her creations. Among them are 24 digital paintings created during her university years (2018-2022), around 50 meticulous paintings and installation works, about 30 pieces from the “The Initial Supper” series, over 20 unfinished works, and more than 60 carefully selected yet unused old frames.
The original works in this exhibition are priced according to a coefficient of 220, digital paintings are priced using a coefficient of 100, unfinished works will be priced through negotiation, and empty frames will be priced reasonably based on size and cost (we also hope they will be used by other artists). Apart from a 10% commission to hunsand Space for covering taxes and miscellaneous fees, all proceeds from the sale of these works will go to her family.
We would like to thank photographer Tang Jingzhi for documenting all the works, as well as Jin Yanan, Wu Yuezhi, Wang Yuxuan, and many of her classmates and friends for their efforts in organizing, packaging, and recording all the works and for their silent support during this time.
Additionally, we extend our gratitude to the collectors who have lent their works for the exhibition: Cao Feng, Ge Hui, Geng Dayou, He Xun, Tong Yao, Wu Yuezhi, Xu Chongye, Yang Ming, Yang Xiaohui, Zhou Tong, and the collectors whose names have not been mentioned.
ABOUT ARTIST
QuanZi has long devoted herself to the creation of marginal themes, discussing life and death, religion, and magical reality on the basis of traditional Oriental painting language. The figurative objects in the work appear in unconventional states, distorted and combined in an unrealistic way. The use of comprehensive materials creates an extension of the space, containing more layers of the abandoned, the inspired, and the feeling of the undeserved, the special space established by the painting as a place to store memories and find beliefs.

At the end of 2021, Hunsand Space opened a branch, Hunsand Center for Contemporary Art, in Shijiazhuang, and by the end of 2023, it had moved to Beizhangcheng Village in Jingxing, Shijiazhuang. In early 2023, a new branch was established in Fujiwan, Zhuantang, Xihu, Hangzhou. The Beijing headquarters of Hunsand Space is located within a sunken two-story building in the Bauhaus architectural complex within the 798 Art District. The Shijiazhuang branch delves deep into an old church within a historic village in the Taihang Mountains, while the Hangzhou space has been transformed from a farmhouse near the Longwu Tea Plantation. Hunsand Space remains vigilant against the standardization of exhibitions and aims to respond to our shared existential experiences, sparking the often overlooked aspects of contemporary culture through ongoing exhibitions and projects.
