选择2020这组公元纪年数字,作为本年度的首个展览主题,旨在新冠病毒的疫情解禁之后,以艺术机构共同展览的形式,邀请到20家画廊机构中的20位艺术家,组成2020这组数字,期待将这应该被人们永久镌刻的时间节点,转换成为一个新的起点与希望。

艺术生态中所有个体都无法单一性的界定其身份、目的与属性,全行业面对共同压力、更需要集体反思。一直以来,众多画廊在谋求自身生存与发展的基础之上,还承担着对当代艺术学术的研究与拓展的职责。美术馆在肩负公共教育和学术延展的基本职能之外,也致力于进行中国当代艺术生态的特殊性研究,及对不同历史时期和时代背景下美术馆使命的课题研究。而不管在何种语境之下,学术的进步都需要不同运营模式及研究方向的机构以开放、接受未知的态度来共同推进。松美术馆希望利用自己的平台来讨论艺术机构间的共存与共生。此次尝试邀请画廊机构进入美术馆空间进行展览,并予以画廊方推荐艺术家、确定参展作品、确定布展方式的自主性来深度参与,以期探索“2020”后的更多可能性。





· 李真 Li Chen ·
艺术家李真作为亚洲艺术中心全球独家代理的艺术家,以其兼融东方气韵及西方美学的雕塑作品而闻名海内外。亚洲艺术中心基于对美术史线索的梳理和挖掘,以“新东方精神”贯穿始终,在学术和专业紧密协作之下进行通盘观照,以现代与当代风格并行,学术与市场层面并重的原则,甄选出艺术家李真两件大中型雕塑作品——“大气神游”系列作品《清风云露》和“青烟”系列作品《日藏·月风》参展松美术馆“2020”展览,旨在通过与松美术馆恰逢其时的合作,共同推动艺术生态健康、多元化的发展。此次展览是李真继2018年震旦博物馆“古往今来 - 李真个展”、2019年苏州博物馆“佛陀 · 中国”亚洲艺术中心(北京)“青烟 - 李真新作展”之后的又一次重要呈现。
Asia Art Center is the exclusive global agent of artist Li Chen, who is noted for sculptures that blend oriental charm and western aesthetics. Asia Art Center adopts the principle of parallelism between modern and contemporary manners, as well as academia and commercial market. Based on the sorting and digging along art history line, Asia Art Center regards "the Spirit of East" as the theory of conception, and conducts a comprehensive observation under tight collaboration of academia and professionalism. For this time, two large and medium-sized sculptures by artist Li Chen are selected for the exhibition "2020" held by Song Art Museum, Soothing Breezes Floating Clouds from "Spiritual Journey through the Great Ether" series and Eclipse · Twilight Breeze from "Ethereal Cloud" series. It is certainly timely for Asia Art Center to promote the development of art in ecological and multi-cultural perspectives through intensified cooperation with Song Art Museum.

李真擅长运用材料特质产生对话,将冰冷的铜雕温润暖化,得以塑造成变化多端又栩栩如生的视觉语言。在“日藏”系列中,雕塑的墨黑色以前所未见的方式与亮金色融合,发展出光影交结的视觉震撼,呈现出多层次的两极对比:夜与日、阴与阳、虚与实。

《日藏·月风》中,无形的风透过成形到动态的过程被捕捉,形成一个时间阶段的串联,其形体唯独在漆黑的背景中方才能略被辨识。而此件中的光不仅是夕日残景的自然现象,更是认知启蒙的象征,因此风在光下的实物化可视为一种自然界抽象的揭示,并与解读符号象征的知性能力形成对等关系。李真的《日藏·月风》是东方文人对月光与其神秘性格的雕塑诠释,以及对于事实的认知和事实本身的对比呈现。


作品《清风云露》于2005年完成,是“大气神游”系列之一,充满着神仙和诗人的浪漫情怀。其雕塑形态自若惬意,云朵竟如此轻巧飘然,让人赏心悦目。李真极为擅长处理这种量体轻重对应关系,如同“独上雄峰天之界,轻驾浮云乐逍遥”的绝妙东方艺术,直接传达到心里。

 
形态惬意,云朵飘然,人物如道家仙者飘于仙界,极具虚幻清净之气质,李真曾题:“初化露、望长空、赤日地、御青烟、乾坤扇、遥指风、天灵界、化三千”的理想境界。其中李真在人物面部巧妙地留有一抹鼻涕,也不经意流露出艺术家的幽默本心,更强化了人性的绝妙之处。


Li Chen completed his work Smoothing Breezes Floating Clouds in 2005 as part of his series "Spiritual Journey through the Great Ether", and it is full of the romantic mood of immortals and poets. The sculpture has a self-satisfied manner, with the figure floating ethereally and aesthetically on top of clouds. Li Chen certainly excels at dealing with this type of corresponding relationship between the form and impact of the image. This type of eastern art has a direct transmittance to the heart, and is as described in his lines of verse: "standing alone on heavenly mountain tops, floating unfettered on clouds."

The figure appears as a Taoist god flying in the fairyland upon the cloud. He has a composed easiness, and a clear soothing temperament. Li Chen once described the ideal status of human as such, "Formed as a morning dew, looking at the distant sky, standing on the sun blessed earth, driving with the green mist, the man can wave the fan of heaven, call for the wind, travel freely indifferent zones of spirits and manipulate power in unlimited forms." Meanwhile, he never overlooks the humanity side of the physical existence, and comments with his sense of humor, “man blows his nose as the temperature drops.”
Li Chen is adept at creating dialogue through materials, particularly in breathing warmth and variability into the brutally cold bronze, enhancing sculpture with a sense of plasticity that allows it to be transformed into vividly animated imagery. In the sub-series of Eclipse, his unprecedented combination of glittering gold and ink-ish black present a dramatic visual contrast of light and shadow, which alludes to multi-layered polarities of day and night, yin and yang, reality and nonexistence.
In Eclipse · Twilight Breeze, the invisible form of wind is captured through its temporal phases, from formation to motion, its body glitters against an overwhelmingly dark background, revealing itself only slightly to indicate its presence. The light in this sense not only alludes to the glimmer of twilight, but also a sign of cognitive enlightenment; therefore, the revelation of wind under light may be regarded as an act of disclosing natural abstraction, which is contrasted to our ability of reading symbolism to understand the underlying delivery of a greater whole. Hence, Li Chen's Eclipse · Twilight Breeze is a sculptural translation of the Eastern idolization toward moonlight and its mystic characteristic, while displaying a parallel comparison between our perception of reality and the reality itself.

关于美术馆 About Museum


松美术馆是由世界知名收藏家王中军先生亲自策划并创办的私人美术馆,不仅向大众展示王中军个人的珍贵藏品,也为艺术的研究和创作提供了新的平台与可能。美术馆包括12个展厅、1个公共休闲空间,和1个艺术衍生品空间,总占地面积约22,000平方米。作为松美术馆与其他美术馆在建筑构成上的最大不同:一是极为简练的当代建筑符号,传递出“净”之观感;二是199棵象征着君子风骨的松树散落院中,代表着松的纯粹、峻然,构成了参观体验和建筑结构上的双重延伸。从2017年开馆至今,松美术馆先后举办了三次大型中国艺术展,并将继续通过有序且高质量的系列展览、结合收藏、研究、教育、出版和公共活动,推动中国当代艺术的发展,参与国家当代艺术家项目交流。


As a private art museum the Song Art Museum is established by Mr. Wang Zhongjun a world-class artwork collector to not only present his precious collection but to also provide a new platform for art research and creation opportunities. The museum consists of 12 exhibition halls, a public leisure space and an art derivatives space spanning over 22,000 square meters. In terms of the architectural composition, the largest differences of the Song Art Museum from other museums are: firstly, conveying the sense of “cleanness” through the extremely concise modern architecture; secondly, the dispersed planting of 199 pine trees in the courtyard which represent the purity and majesty of a gentleman to form the double extension of the experience in visiting the museum and architectural composition. Since its opening in 2017 it has held 3 large Chinese artwork exhibitions and will continue to push forward the development of Chinese modern art, and participate in the exchanges with International modern arts (projects) by orderly hosting a series of high-quality exhibitions coupled with collection, research, education, publication and public events.



关于艺术家About Artist


李真,1963年生于中国台湾云林,目前创作于台中、上海两地,以其兼融东方气韵及西方美学的雕塑作品,获得国际关注。
李真早期涉猎佛学道家等,在自由创作的精神中融入自我摄心之情感,吸收东方传统与西方雕塑及原始非洲大洋洲等艺术养分,更结合当代思维,作品不受单一传统束缚,呈现既重又轻、浑然天成的效果。李真透过艺术进行个人的“精神疗伤”,在俗世中寻找乐土,在作品中创造灵性空间,用幽默诙谐的方式暗喻世事,希望欣赏者能察觉其中的精神元素。 1999年于台北举办首次个展,也是首位在威尼斯双年展举办个展的华人艺术家。其作品于中国美术馆(北京)、震旦博物馆(上海)、苏州博物馆(苏州)、松美术馆 (北京)、新加坡美术馆(新加坡)、中正纪念堂广场(台北)、弗莱伊美术馆(西雅图)、旺多姆广场(巴黎)、台北当代艺术馆(台北)进行展出。

Li Chen was born in 1963, and currently works in Taichung and Shanghai. Li Chen has gained international attention for his sculptures represented both oriental tradition and western aesthetics.
Li Chen accomplished a style which has fully liberated himself from the confines of tradition by incorporating feelings of self-mindfulness and interpretations of Chinese classics from the Buddhist and Taoist traditions. Though blending with contemporary thought, Li Chen evinced a remarkably refreshing and natural effect of appearing both heavy and light. The underlying aesthetic principles in Li's sculpture are based not only on a "dual composition" of Eastern traditions and Western sculptural language but also on an ongoing dialogue with the spiritual and material cultures of Africa and Oceania. Furthermore, Li Chen's art work aspires to a spiritual arts therapy, uncovering a wealth of joy amidst the simple life's pleasure, innovating a spiritual space through the pieces, as humor embellishes a metaphorical engagement with the world.
 Since his works first appeared to the public in 1999 in Taipei, Li Chen has been an active figure both domestic and abroad. Li participated in the 52nd Venice Biennale, being regarded as the first individual artist of Chinese descent to be invited to arrange a solo exhibition in the event. Li Chen has presented solo exhibitions at National Art Museum of China (Beijing), Aurora Museum (Shanghai), Suzhou Museum (Suzhou), Song Art Museum (Beijing), Singapore Art Museum (Singapore), Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (Taipei), Frye Art Museum (Seattle), Place Vendôme (Paris), Taipei MoCA (Taipei).
