【不离】法王如意宝：你希求的事，永远不会有结局！
“世间的琐事，若去希求，就没有一个完结之时”
“If You Seek Worldly Trifles, There Will Never Be an End to Them”
在轮回中，众生希求无常的世间法，而不愿追求解脱，
In samsara, living beings chase after impermanent worldly concerns rather than seek liberation.
以至于始终陷在苦海中头出头没，就像水中冒出的气泡一样。
As a result, they forever wallow in the ocean of suffering, bobbing up and down like bubbles on the surface of water.
其实，世间法犹如闪电般刹那无常，
In truth, worldly concerns are as momentary and impermanent as lightning;
希求这些始终不会有一个结局。
chasing after them will never have an end.
正如无垢光尊者所说：“世间上的琐事，若去希求，就没有一个完结之时。何时放下，何时才会了。”
It is just as Venerable Longchenpa said, “If you seek worldly trifles, there will never be an end to them.The moment you let go is the moment they end.”
无始以来，我们在世间法方面花费了无数精力，
Since beginningless time, we have wasted incalculable energy on mundane concerns.
结果却是徒劳无益。
But ultimately it has been futile.
所以，现在该是让心好好休息的时候了。
Thus, now is the time to give the mind a good rest.
有些人对世间的一切非常执著，
Some people are very attached to everything in the world;
尽管自己腰缠万贯，
even though they are very wealthy,
但对需要帮助的众生，却丝毫也不愿伸出援手。
they are not the slightest bit willing to lend a hand to those who need help.
其实，世间的有漏财富，品格卑劣的人也能得到，
The truth is, people of despicable character can also obtain worldly fortunes that are tainted by clinging.
所以当我们拥有一点点钱财时，千万不要有傲慢心。
Therefore, when we possess a little property, we must not be proud.
上师托嘎如意宝曾讲过，有一次，多闻天子穿上自己最好的衣服，不可一世地去拜访贡嘎天子，
My teacher Thupga Rinpoche taught that the god of wealth once put on his best clothes and imperiously went to visit a god by the name of Konka.
结果发现，贡嘎天子的财富远远超过了自己。
He discovered, however, that the god Konka’s wealth far exceeded his.
于是，他的傲慢当下就荡然无存了。
In that moment, his pride completely vanished.
既然多闻天子的财富都没什么了不起，
If even the fortune of the god of wealth is nothing remarkable,
我们的财富又有什么可骄傲的呢？
what is there in our riches to be proud of?
因此，我们应当观察万法无常，
Hence, we should closely examine the impermanence of all phenomena,
以如幻如梦来对待一切，
regard everything as being like dreams and illusions,
看世间法就如同看荧屏上的影像，
and observe all worldly phenomena as if watching images on a screen.
如是久而久之，对人事物的强烈执著会慢慢褪尽，
As time passes, our fierce attachments to people, events, and things will gradually fade to nothing,
一切功德也就自然具足了。
and all virtues and merits will naturally be attained.
