利乐源泉的菩提心
SECTION 8. Bodhichitta — The Source of Happiness and Benefits
这样的珍宝菩提心，是轮回涅槃一切善妙之法的源泉，是所有利乐的唯一因。
This precious bodhichitta, this wish-fulfilling jewel, is the source of all the good things of samsara and nirvana, and the only cause for all happiness and benefits.
有了这颗菩提心，就能无余灭尽三界一切众生的痛苦，
With this precious bodhichitta, we can eradicate the suffering of all sentient beings in the three realms without exception.
轻易成办一切安乐善妙资粮，
It can easily help us collect the accumulations for all happiness and virtue.
这是慈悲的佛菩萨历经多劫观察分析得出的结论，
This was concluded by compassionate buddhas and bodhisattvas after having scrutinized and examined for eons.
根本没有一个法的功德能胜过菩提心。
Nothing else’s merit can surpass that of bodhichitta.
就像寂天菩萨所说：
Just as Śāntideva said:
“佛于多劫深思维，见此觉心最饶益，
All the buddhas who have contemplated for many eons have seen it to be beneficial;
无量众生依于此，顺利能获最胜乐。
for by it the limitless masses of beings will quickly attain the supreme state of bliss.
欲灭三有百般苦，及除有情众不安，欲享百种快乐者，恒常莫舍菩提心。”
Those who wish to destroy the many sorrows of (their) conditioned existence, those who wish (all beings) to experience a multitude of joys, and those who wish to experience much happiness, should never forsake the awakening mind.
这颗如此珍贵的菩提心，哪怕在自相续中仅生起一次，也将获得佛子菩萨的称号。
If this precious bodhichitta arises in one’s mindstream just one time, this person would attain the title Child of the Buddha and become a bodhisattva.
如寂天菩萨所说 ：
Just as Śāntideva said:
“生死狱系苦有情，若生刹那菩提心，
The moment an awakening mind arises in those fettered and weak in the jail of cyclic existence,
即刻得名诸佛子，世间人天应礼敬。”
they will be named a Child of the Sugatas, and will be revered by both humans and gods of the world.
