Coronavirus Vaccine Enters Animal Experimentation Phase

During a press conference on epidemic prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Zhejiang province yesterday, Song Zhiheng, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Department, said that the first batch of vaccines had produced antibodies and had entered animal experimentation phase. 

Additionally, major breakthroughs have been made at Zhejiang Province-West Lake University and Zhejiang Biological Laboratory in understanding the virus; including discovering virus inhibitors into cells. The discoveries provided a much need boost of confidence in defeating the virus and defeating the epidemic.

This is all great news; however, it was pointed out that the vaccine development cycle is relatively long so we shouldn't be expecting a vaccine in our hands any time soon.
