Health Commission Warning as People Flocked to Parks
This last weekend, pedestrian flow and Shenzhen traffic increased significantly as people took advantage of the beautiful weather and the spread of the epidemic seemed to have been curbed; with newly confirmed cases in Shenzhen having been at "zero" for many days.

Tourists told reporters that they were going out to the park for the first time since the outbreak. "Today's sunshine is brilliant. I had to take my child out, and I feel much better."
It's currently bird watching season in Shenzhen as well. On the coast of the park, there were flocks of birds and wild ducks as well as tourists stopping to watch them.
On February 22, the traffic flow at Shenzhen Bay Park reached 12,000 during its peak hours from 6 to 8 in the morning and from 5 to 7 in the evening.
The director of Shenzhen Bay Park, Kang said that staff conduct temperature checks at the entrance of each parking lot and park entrances with large numbers of people. Security personnel will also conduct patrols to persuade those without masks and control the distance between people. Additionally, staff sterilize the facilities and equipment in crowded areas such as public toilets, wash basins, chairs and stools. At the intersection facing the subway entrance, a "no-stop area" has also been set up for several hundred meters.
Lianghuashan Park
Reporters found that staff members were conducting rigorous temperature tests at the gate of Lianhuashan Park, but other entrances at the foot of the mountain were not completely closed and no staff members were guarding them. The children's amusement facilities and fitness areas in the park have been temporarily closed.
In the fitness area of the park, most of the sports equipment is closed, but that didn't stop some from stretching and jogging in the area.

Staff members were seen conducting temperature and mask checks at the entrance and exits of Lingzhi Park, in Bao'an district. Notices were also clearly visible stating that a mask is required to enter the park and to cooperate with temperature checks. Epidemic prevention and control audio propaganda could also be heard broadcast in Cantonese and Mandarin.
The staff in the park told reporters that Lingzhi Park was not closed during the Spring Festival. The park opened at 6 am and closed at 10 pm. However, many of the surrounding entrances and exits to the park are temporarily closed. In the past two days, there were more people in the park, but the overall number was not high.

Don't take it lightly
On February 23rd, the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province held the 29th press conference on epidemic prevention and control. Ji Leqin, a second-level inspector of the Provincial Health and Health Committee, said that as of 24:00 on February 22, the province had reported a total of 1,342 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus pneumonia, with a total of 740 hospital discharges, and 6 deaths.
Judging from the epidemic data, the number of newly diagnosed cases is declining. Some enterprises are resuming work in an orderly manner, and social life is begining to resume. However, the public must not take the situation lightly and relax their vigilance. The inflection point for the development of the epidemic has not yet come.
