Woman Killed After Being Hit by Taxi in Zebra Crossing
On the evening of December 6, an incident occurred at the Bulan intersection of Longgang Avenue, where a taxi hit a pedestrian in a zebra crossing, resulting in the death of the pedestrian.
At about 21:43 on December 6, Li drove a taxi along Longgang Avenue in Longgang District from west to east. When passing the intersection of Longgang Avenue and Bulan Road, he turned left and entered Bulan Road and crossed the intersection with the zebra crossing where he hit pedestrian Hu Mouxiang. Hu Mouxiang died after being sent to a doctor.

The taxi driven by Li Mousan had already entered the turning lane and was about to complete the turning action, but the car suddenly changed its direction and drove into another lane. At this time, Hu Mouxiang, who was waiting on the safety island, began to cross the road when the signal light turned to green. Just as she stepped into the zebra crossing, a taxi driven by Li Mou-san came from behind, and the tragedy happened instantly.
The video showed that Hu Mouxiang did not violate traffic rules.
According to the driver Li Mousan, on the night of the incident, Li Mousan drove a taxi from Luohu Wenjin North Road to go home from get off work, and an accident occurred when he drove to the place where the incident occurred.
Li said that before the incident, he did not spot the other pedestrian, and felt the vehicle vibrated slightly when passing the zebra crossing. At that time, he was very nervous and did not stop immediately. After taxiing for a distance, he stopped the vehicle and got off to check. There was a traffic accident, and then he dialed 110 and 120 to wait for the arrival of the ambulance and the police.
On December 8, 2020, Shenzhen traffic police detained the driver Li Mousan. At present, the case is under further investigation.
This tragic event is a grim reminder to please pay attention while crossing any roads, even if you're in a zebra crossing and have the right of way.
