Hot New Robot Restaurant Opens in Nanshan

A robot themed restaurant, Ai Xiaoguo, officially opened at Kexing Science Park in Nanshan District. 

The restaurant, which has far fewer actual staff compared to a typical restaurant, deploys multiple robots "walking" the floor and riding overhead to take orders, answer inquiries, and deliver dishes.

Diners take their seats, order food, and a robot carrying the prepared food arrives to the table. 

Diners follow the prompts on the robot and click to authorize the robot to open the lid to the food compartment.

In addition to robots "walking" on the ground, robots also travel via rails on the ceiling of the restaurant; referred to by the staff as the hot pot cloud rail food delivery system.

Food boxes slowly descend and wait for diners to take their dishes, then retract back up to the celing.

More than 10 robot restaurants planned for Shenzhen

The robot restaurant is developed by Qianxi Robot Group. At this year's Hi-Tech Fair, Qianxi Robot Group signed more than 10 restaurant projects in Shenzhen, and plans to build robots for the entire industry chain; covering production, supply chain and operations.

Famous chefs from Shunde provided expertise on the development of the dishes.

Qianxi Robot Group invited the top ten famous chefs in Shunde to help them learn how to make and deliver over 500 dishes...

...including a variety of classic Shunde dishes, with consistently stable authentic craftsmanship.

Qianxi Robot Group has also developed a variety of automated, high-efficiency meal-making robots that can make a burger in 10 seconds, a cup of coffee in 45 seconds, and ice cream in 30 seconds; all in 24-hour contactless operation, while reducing food safety risks.
