Cold Air Front to Drastically Lower Temperatures in Shenzhen

The weather has been beautiful for the last few days, with temperatues in Shenzhen reaching 28.2℃ yesterday, but don't put away your winter clothes just yet. According to the Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau, we have some cold weather coming soon.

Cold air to begin to affect Shenzhen on the 28th with minimum temperatures reaching 11-12℃

Tomorrow (28th)

A new cold air front to affect Shenzhen

The cold air is expected to advance like this:

• Morning of the 28th → North Guangdong

• Noon → Guangzhou

• Evening → Coastal

The good news, however, is that despite this wave of cold air, it is still expected to be sunny with increased visibility. Temperatures are forecast to rise again by the 31st.

Shenzhen Weather Forecast:

Cold in the mornings and evenings of the 29th to 30th, with plenty of sunshine during the day and extremely dry air, with a minimum temperature of 11-12℃. On the 31st, the temperature will gradually begin increasing.

So what about the weather during the Spring Festival. Long range weather forecasts are notorious inaccurate in Shenzhen but that won't stop forecasters from making some predictions.

Before the holiday (February 1-10)

Generally, warmer, less rainy, and dry air. There will be 1-2 incidents of weak cold air in 5-10 days, and the temperature will fluctuate slightly.

During the Spring Festival (February 11-17)

Generally cloudy and warm overall, affected by cold air at the end of the holiday, with a minimum temperature of 10-12°C.

After the holiday (February 18th-March 8th)

At the beginning of March, with the impact of cold air, warm and humid air flow strengthening, rain and fog are expected for about 6-8 days.
