Are Chinese People Overly Sensitive or Are You Just a Jerk?

ShekouDaily Gary InBene 2022-03-15

The Visa Office of the U.S. Embassy in China was recently accused of calling Chinese people dogs. After the news broke, many foreigners have commented that they don’t understand the accusations, so we thought we’d break it down in this, the second episode of The China Internet Show.

My name is Gary Isse. I'm the founder of ShekouDaily and , and I'm the host of this new show idea. The concept is simple, we take a look inside what Chinese people are saying on the Internet in China, how they’re feeling, and what’s happening in the country, so we can get a better perspective on Chinese culture.

Please take a look and leave us your comments below to let us know what you think. We’d love to hear your thoughts about the show. Did you like it? Should we keep this going? Any suggestions for improvements we could make?

In this episode:

  • 01:20: China's Gender Imbalance

  • 02:10: Tragic Elevator Fire

  • 02:34: Mysterious Death of a Student

  • 03:12: Leopard on the Loose

  • 03:47: Bridge Blowout

  • 04:25: Airplane Seat Squatter

  • 05:41: U.S. Visa Office Insults Chinese
