“21世纪杯”就是我大放光彩的舞台！

别看王清越年纪小，他已经是英语类比赛的老选手了。想当年，清越小朋友曾经作为唯一一个一年级小选手杀进“希望之星”的总决赛，着实让自己自豪了好一阵呢。经过三年的磨练，鼓足勇气参加“21世纪杯”，一举拿下小学高年级组亚军，清越小朋友表示，他很满意！但比得到成绩更开森的是交到了许多新朋友。

我和小高组的王之栋（右）成了好朋友，赛后还经常联系，他在舞台上的从容非常值得我学习。

我比妈妈还厉害

我也是旅游小达人~

有一次，妈妈带我去泰国旅游，回来的时候飞机延误了。妈妈很着急，问工作人员‘When will the plane take off?’工作人员回答说‘Tomorrow’，妈妈其实想问的是具体几点，于是我去跟工作人员说‘What time?’这样我们顺利得到了具体的答复。

我是小小哈迷，期待有一天可以拥有神奇的魔法，为了看懂哈利·波特的魔法，我手边总是放本字典，不会了就查，还天天在家练习魔法，最后，魔法没有长进，英语倒是有了大大的提高。

外交官是个很酷的工作

看我有没有外交家的气场？

关于未来，清越有很多畅想，有一个主意却已经打定，那就是一定要做一份跟英语相关的工作。

我想当一名外交官，虽然对于外交官做什么还没有太深入的了解，但是我觉得这个工作很酷，可以跟很多重要任务打交道。当翻译也不错，不过得经常加班。

Me in the eyes of my friends

I had asked myself very often who am I? This may have seemed to be a silly question, at first, but when I was younger, I didn’t know anything about myself. One day when I looked in a mirror, I saw myself. It was from that moment that I knew what I looked like and how my appearance was. I had black hair and large eyes, but that wasn’t the only part of me. 

Using me in the eyes of my friends, I gradually began to know more about myself. In some way, my friends told me what I was really “made of”.

When I took place in the talent show at school, I calmly juggled three balls and recited the alphabet backwards simultaneously, and got first place, I knew from the kid’s applause that I was very enthusiastic in participating in all kinds of activities.

For another example, I like to share a time when my deskmate had a bruised knee and I volunteered to take her to our school’s pharmacy. I helped her down the staircase one by one even though it was very exhausting. From the moment I saw that her mouth had curled into a small smile, I knew that I was helpful.

When something has annoyed me, I tend to shout. From my friend’s disapproving looks, I realized that I should control my temper.

If I didn’t have friends, I wouldn’t know what kind of person I am. Friends are just like my family, they make me know more about my personality - if I am shy or enthusiastic, wimpy or brave, stingy or generous and more. Knowing more about myself, makes me even more confident and helps me to start in a brand new way.
