SECONDHAND KNELL×Da Wei live show | A KIDNAP BEYOUND TIME, BLOW UP IMAGINATION CARVINAL
丘山曾像个隐士一样在一个小城独居过一年,那时他看着街上的人群,觉得他们特别奇怪,不知道自己是谁,也不知道自己要什么,过着被“绑架”的生活。
Qiu Shan lived at a small town once a year,upon that time he was looking at the folks on streets, thinking they were really odd—they didn’t know who they are, what they are going to do, leading alife which is actually kidnapped.
《二手丧钟》个人项目,丘山用了九天时间完成十几幅绘画作品,在画的过程中他并不知道最终呈现的画作究竟是怎样的,直到完成他才清楚这就是自己的表达,甚至他都没来得及给画作取名。包括布展也是,直到开幕前一刻丘山还在思考展览空间的布局,每一幅作品的位置,吊在M房间顶端的是哪几张画,挂在墙上的哪几张画等等。
The Personal project SECOND-HAND KNELL, involves about 20 paintings Qiu worked on only 9 days. During the time, it was uncertain for him what kind of paintings he was actually going to bring on table, he even didn’t figured it out what he wanted to express until the end of creation—that’s why he didn’t have time to name those works. Including installation, he was still working on it how to display every works properly-- which ones would be suitable hanging in air from ceiling,which ones should hang on wall and so on.
项目有一个大体的想像,即希腊诸神的故事。而这个故事参杂个人经验和解读,附予隐喻,最后的画面成为拥有多重抽象和意味的图像。丘山应该是一位凭本能和感知进行创作的艺术家,就如本次个人项目,他的画作较之前的创作,是一个大转型,他在绘画的过程中已经感受到,就像积压了许多的能量爆发了出来。
There is the imagination about the story of Greek Gods in this project. This story involves personal experiences and interpretation, was a metaphor, eventually trans formed into the imagines related to several meanings and complicated abstract language. Qiu is the artist doing art creation with instinct, perception. Compared to his previous creation, this series of works is a big change, he already expected this during the creation, like the energy eventually burst out after long time oppressing.
和音乐人大卫的合作,基于他对大卫的欣赏,两人成了朋友,多次一起吃饭聊天。这次项目关于希腊诸神的想像,丘山觉得还不够,于是跟大卫说你可以扮演一位恐怖份子吗?绑架这些希腊的神?大卫也很欣赏丘山的创作,于是两人“密谋”了这次合作。
The corporation with Da Wei, is of hisappreciation to Da, they hung out together a lot since they became friends.However, the imagination about Greek Gods, Qiu felt there was still something to do, thus he invited Da to play a terrorist to kidnap Greek Gods. Da also admires Qiu’s works, was delight to be participant. That’s where is this crimefrom.
大卫是个诗人,同时是一位反叛的音乐人。在《二手丧钟》开幕现场,他结合现实、在场的人群和丘山画作,进行了一场将近半小时的说唱表演,引爆全场。充分体现了他做为一名出色的说唱音乐人极为少见的才华,出口成章,一气呵成。更难能可贵的是他在表演过程中的激情,给予了观众更多想像空间。
Da Wei is a poet, also rebellious musician. Onthe opening ceremony of SECOND-HAND KNELL, he had a about half hour impromptus how related to reality, present audiences and Qiu’s works, blew up all’s minds. That fully presents his talents as rap musician—very fluent impromptu show without even one second stop. What more valuable is his influencing passionduring the show, his rapping is not only an enhancement but also an inspirationto audiences’ imagination.
丘山说《二手丧钟》是一个想象力的狂欢,大卫的演出激发他更多的创作灵感,也带给作品更丰富的内容。两人合作是一次音乐形式和当代艺术的碰撞,成为爆点,击碎绑架我们的庸常生活,像一名恐怖份子绑架诸神般,打造了一个临时的欢场。
Qiu said SECOND-HAND KNELL is a carnival of imagination,and DA’s show inspired him on new coming creation, it also added spices in thisseries of works. Their corporation is a meeting of musicand contemporary art, a bomb to the daily life which has kidnapped us, like aterrorist kidnapping Gods to create a temporary play ground.

丘山 (b.1992) 画家、演员,目前生活和工作在北京。
丘山是中国当代架上绘画的全新实践人物之一,其绘画穿过现实生活这张过滤网后异形于一个难以形容的象征世界之中,在那里所有的现实不管是感官的还是头脑的都呈显出一个新的活跃状态。丘山的绘画风格复杂灵活,具象与抽象时常兼容一身,即有十足的后现代艺术的实验姿态,又受到文艺复兴前期诸多画家的影响,如皮耶罗·德拉·弗朗切斯卡、乔托、博斯等。他不断开发绘画的可能性,每次转变既惊人又诚恳。
Qiu Shan (b.1992). Painter, actor, living and working in Beijing currently.
Qiu is one of the pioneer of China contemporary easel painting. Through the filter of reality, his works exist in an indecribable, symbolized world with distorted shape, all of things there present a new active movement, either on sensory level or consciousness level. Qiu's paintings involve several styles, so phisticated and flexible, are the mixture of concreteness and abstract, not only showing an experiment of postmodernism, but also getting influenced by some painters from early renaissance, like Piero Della Francesca, Giotto di Bondone, Hieronymus Bosch and so on. He never stop the steps on exploring unknown possibilities in painting, and every change must be surprising, honest.
大卫 上世纪九十年代生于北京。音乐人,诗人,导演,演员、主持人。
大卫的创作核心来自于诗,又将诗的锋芒变成错综复杂的听觉与视觉的双重迷宫,最终又归于诗的情绪与内涵。在大卫的演出中,人们体验到的是时空的穿梭,他将摇滚、爵士、Hip-Hop、舞台剧等复杂多样的形式精巧融合,变成只属于他个人矛盾而独特的舞台风格。大卫有着十九世纪白银一代的细腻与温柔,有着二十世纪垮掉一代的愤怒和不屑,也有着当下这个时代那些最受关注的实验性。大卫将诗人的深刻带到live house,带到名流秀场,带到市井街头,那些最锋利的话语变成充满律动的迷幻吟唱。观众只有在大卫身上才能感受到粗暴的力量和细腻的诗意之间的结合。他是这个时代的刀子、审判与一片LSD。
Da wei,born last 90s in Beijing. Musician, poet, director, actor, host.
The creation core of Da is based in poetry, altering the sharpness of poems to the double labyrinth made of sophisticated auditory and vision, then turning back to the emotion and connotation of poetry. What people would experience in Da's show is time space traveling, he finely mixed rock, jazz, hip-hop, drama and so on several complicated forms together, made it his own contradictoral, distinct performance style. On Da, there is the tender, exquisiteness from silver generation 19th, and the anger, scorn from beat generation 20th, also the experimental spirit which people pay most attention to this time. Da brings profoundness of poetry to livehouse, to famous TV show, to streets, then those sharping words transformed into mesmerizing singing full of rhythm. Only from Da, audience could feel the combination of violent power and fine poetry. He is the knife, judgement, LSD of this time.
