From October 31 to November 2, 2020, TopSchools will hold the Third Asia International School Conference (RAISE2020) in Shanghai, China. The conference will discuss the future of school governance and education with the theme of "school governance in VUCA era".

We kicked off 2020 in a particularly special way and it is meant to be different.

Since the moment that Academician Zhong Nanshan announced that Convid-19 could be transmitted from person to person on Jan 20th, 2020, the Virus has infected more than 15 million people worldwide and caused over 610,000 deaths. A “black Swan” event turned into a “grey Rhino”.

Many countries conditionally shut down the borders, and it has been striking the international Financial Market and causing the plummets of the Oil price. All the residents were required self-quarantine, the whole world was forced to pause.

When will the epidemic end? We don't seem to have an answer yet. What kind of world will we face in the post epidemic era. The industry quickly reached a consensus: after the restart, we will have to face a VUCA world. VUCA consists of four parts: volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous.

In the VUCA world, the epidemic situation is accompanied by the change of complex international relations and technologies, which forces the great changes of education ecology. Among them, school education is the first to bear the brunt, from educational objectives, teaching management, teaching organization to enrollment operation, family school relationship, all of which will be "baptized" by VUCA.

For schools, what attitude should we take to meet the normalization of online education, how to realize the seamless connection of OMO, and how to create a new type of international education integrating China and the west? With these questions, let's meet at the third RAISE conference to talk about school governance in the VUCA era.

Highlights of RAISE2020
