当代全人教育理念从上世纪70年代兴起至今，经历近半个世纪的发展，将以促进人的整体发展为主要目的的教育思想从欧洲、北美传播到亚洲、大洋洲和非洲等地区，对各级各类教育产生了重要的影响，形成了一场世界性的全人教育改革运动。

时至今日，当我们反思新时代的教育危机与发展契机，审视人才培养目标和教育方式等问题时，“注重培养生命的各种有机关系”、“ 培养生命各种潜能的全面和谐发展”等全人教育的思想依旧提供强大的启发和指导作用，也能够引领当前教育改革发展的新路径。

John Miller是加拿大多伦多大学安大略教育研究所（Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto）教授，Equinox 全人学校发起人。约翰·米勒 （John Miller）教授已在全人教育领域耕耘40余年，出版全人教育相关书籍20余本。

四川成都华德福学校校长

李泽武校长是国内第一所华德福学校创办人之一。第一位华德福主课教师。  2015被腾讯评为“时代知行者”。第六届“全人教育奖”获得者。

北京师范大学比较教育研究院院长

刘宝存，教育学博士，教育部长江学者特聘教授，国务院政府特殊津贴专家，现任北京师范大学国际与比较教育研究院院长，北京师范大学国际教育研究中心主任，兼任中国教育学会比较教育分会理事长、中国教育学会理事、中国教育发展战略学会常务理事和学术委员会委员、中国教育发展战略学会国际教育专业委员会学术委员会主任委员和常务理事等职。

中国教育科学研究院研究员

International Forum on Holistic Education

The recent global movement of Holistic Education has been accelerating for nearly half a century since the 1970s. As the idea of educating the whole-person spreading from Europe, North America to Asia, Oceania and Africa, it has exerted an important influence on all levels of education and started a worldwide movement of holistic education reform.

Today, when we reflect on the current educational challenges and opportunities, principles of holistic education such as "focusing on establishing the organic relationship of life" and “unlocking all kinds of potentials in a comprehensive and harmonious way” still provide a strong inspiration and guidance on exploring the new directions for educational reforms.

Teachers College, Columbia University has long been committed to deepening and promoting the concept and practice of holistic education. Driven by social and technological transformations, we have observed that more and more schools and organizations around the world are beginning to implement the concept of holistic education and have achieved gratifying results. To this end, we aspire to organize the International Forum on Holistic Education in partnership with the Global Center at Columbia University Beijing and Peking University Education Foundation (North America). We have invited world-renowned scholars including Prof. John P. Miller, author of the acclaimed book “Holistic Curriculum” (1988), as well as education specialists from the UNICEF Headquarters in New York, Beijing Normal University, the National Institute of Education Sciences (China), and principals from selective schools in the U.S. Mainland China and Taiwan. Through this forum, we hope to expound the latest research and practice in the field of holistic education, explore valuable experiences of implementing holistic education at schools, and cultivate the ecological environment for the long-term development of holistic education.
