第二届“会计文化与东方文明”

国际高端论坛 

征文启事

人类文明历史悠久而又多彩、多变，东西方文明更是有着显著的差异；但从传统社会向现代社会的转变，却同为东西方文明的不可逾越的历史进程。认识和理解这一历史无疑存在诸多视角；其中，会计的视角是最容易被忽视的一种。这主要是因为，千百年来，会计已成为习焉不察的社会现象；然而，事物越是平常普通，越是说明它与人类生活密不可分。以往对“会计与社会”的研究，多从技术的角度出发，不免其偏狭与局促，无法深入认识会计的社会文化意义。基于以上宗旨，我们将本届论坛的主题确定为“会计制度与社会变迁”，并拟定若干相关征文议题，以求从广阔的历史文化背景来理解会计与社会的互动关系。

Callfor Research Proposals

（会计史暨质性会计研究工作坊英文征稿）

The 2020 “Accounting Culture & Oriental Civilization” International Symposium will be held on 25th, Oct, 2020（8：00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.）. We are delighted to announce a research proposal workshop willtake place in virtual format. Acceptable research proposal will be invited forpresentation at the virtual symposium and receive feedback from establishedinternational academics.

Main Theme: Accounting & Social Evolution

Suggested Topics, including but not limited to:

1. The natureof accounting and its influence on cultures and societies

2.Comparative research on Chinese and Western historical accounting practices

3. Accountinghistoriography

4. Researchon the thoughts of renowned accounting academics

5. Otherrelevant topics in qualitative and/or historical accounting research

Individualsinterested in making a presentation about a planned or existing project arekindly invited to submit a brief research proposal (of no more than threepages, single-spaced) of their chosen research topic, which contains thefollowing information:

1. Project(working) title

2. Backgroundto the study (or scenario for investigation)

3. Mainresearch objective to be stated in a single, concise sentence

4. Concisestatement of key research question(s)

5. Researchmethodology

6. Periodselection

7.Limitations of the study

8. Expected(original) contribution of the study to the literature.
