9月26日，第73届联合国大会防治结核病问题高级别会议在纽约举行。中国国家主席习近平夫人、世界卫生组织结核病和艾滋病防治亲善大使彭丽媛应邀作为抗击结核病杰出人士代表在会议开幕式上发表视频讲话。
与会嘉宾表示，彭丽媛的视频讲话令人印象深刻。他们还高度赞赏中国在防治结核病方面所取得的成绩以及对全球防治结核病事业的支持和贡献。不少网友也纷纷表示被她不疾不慢的语速、大方得体的魅力所圈粉。一起来看：

Dear friends, I am Peng Liyuan, the WHO Goodwill Ambassador for TB and HIV/AIDS. Congratulations on this High-Level Meeting, and greetings to you all!
亲爱的朋友们，我是世界卫生组织结核病和艾滋病防治亲善大使彭丽媛。祝贺本次高级别会议的召开，并向大家问好。
I became China's Ambassador for TB in 2007, and the Goodwill Ambassador in 2011. It is a mission and responsibility I cherish dearly. For more than ten years, every year on March 24th, I've visited communities with high TB prevalence to help raise awareness, change behavior and encourage actions.
我在2007年成为中国结核病防治形象大使，在2011年成为亲善大使。这是我珍视的使命和责任。十多年来，每年的3月24日，我都会走访结核病高发的社区，以提高人们的认识，改变行为，鼓励人们采取行动。
This year, I went to Hubei in central China. I shared with teenage students important TB-related knowledge, and ways to lead a healthy lifestyle and taught young children the importance of good personal hygiene. In a local village, I met a fully-recovered patient. I encouraged him to become a TB campaigner himself, so that he can share his experience of fighting the disease with more people.
今年我去了中国中部的湖北。我和十几岁的学生分享了重要的结核病相关知识以及保持健康生活方式的方法，同时告诉孩子们保持良好个人卫生的重要性。在当地的村子里，我遇到了一位完全康复的病人。我鼓励他自己成为一名防治结核病的宣传员，这样他就可以和更多的人分享抗击结核病的经验。
On this trip, I also attended a ceremony to recognize outstanding TB campaigners. Most of them work at the grassroots and have great stories to share.
在这次旅行中，我还参加了一个表彰优秀结核病防治人员的仪式。他们中的大多数在基层工作，有很多精彩的故事可以分享。
Let me tell you about Shili. She is a community health worker from Sichuan. One of her many tasks is to look after local TB patients. When the massive earthquake struck Sichuan in 2008, her hometown was among the hardest-hit. Despite the damage, she managed to re-establish direct contact with every one of the 540 patients under her watch. She walked mile after mile amidst deadly aftershocks to reach her patients and she spent some 20 days delivering drugs to those cut off from medication. As a doctor, she knew too well the importance of completing the drug regimen for TB patients. Her efforts paid off. All the 540 patients had fully recovered, with no single patient developing into MDR. What an impressive achievement!

I also wish to thank the media and our active supporters. Together with more than 700,000 volunteers in China's TB programs, we have helped promote awareness, provide valuable knowledge and improve understanding of TB to more than 75% of the population. Lives have been saved as a result.
我还要感谢媒体和所有积极支持者。我们与中国结核病项目中的70多万名结核病志愿者一起共同努力，帮助提高了75%以上人口对结核病的认识，为他们提供了宝贵的知识，提高了他们对结核病的了解。其结果是拯救了生命。
I myself stand witness to the rapid progress of TB programs in China. Thanks to better medical service, we can offer more timely and effective diagnosis and treatment. In some areas, fighting TB is now an important part of the poverty reduction programs. Case detection rate increases, more patients are cured, and the incidence and mortality continue to drop.
我本人见证了中国结核病项目的快速发展。由于更好的医疗服务，我们可以提供更及时有效的诊断和治疗。在一些地区，防治结核病现在是减贫计划的重要组成部分。病例检出率增加，更多患者得到治愈，发病率和死亡率继续下降。
When I visit foreign countries, I also try to make the local TB situation part of my agenda. I am so happy to see that more patients are getting the help they need. It is the united effort of governments, international organizations, NGOs, experts and volunteers that has made this possible.
当我在国外进行访问时，我也试图将当地结核病的情况列入我的议程。我很高兴看到更多的病人得到了他们需要的帮助。正是各国政府、国际组织、非政府组织、专家和志愿者的共同努力使改变成为可能。
However, daunting challenges remain. MDR is still a major threat. Limited ways of treatment and insufficient funding are still the problems we face globally.

The WHO has adopted the "End TB Strategy". Now is the time to act.

Together, let us make a difference to the lives of millions affected, and stop tuberculosis.

在全球教育第一倡议高级别活动上的发言
联合国教科文组织特使彭丽媛于2015年9月26日在联合国总部参加“教育第一促进可持续发展”高级别活动，全程流利英文发言。
彭丽媛表示，他的父亲曾经是村夜校校长，专门负责扫盲工作。在他的帮助下，许多的妇女把自己学会的字教给孩子们。经过几代人的努力，中国教育事业取得显著成就。彭丽媛表示，她自身就是教育的受益者，否则也不可能成为一名女高音歌唱家。
彭丽媛表示，多年前，他的父亲通过他的努力改变了他所在的小村庄。今天大家携手努力就能改变世界。她希望所有的孩子特别是女孩都接受良好的教育，这就是她的中国梦。她坚信，总有一天，教育第一的梦想将不会是一个梦想，将会成为全世界共享的美好现实。

Ladies and gentlemen
女士们、先生们：
It gives me a great pleasure to join you for this important initiative as the UN marks its 70th anniversary.
在联合国纪念成立70周年之际，我很荣幸能够参加这一重要倡议的相关活动。
Education is very close in my heart. My father grew up in a very small village in China. In those days, not many villagers could read. So my father opened a night school to teach them how to read. With his help, many people learned to write their own names; with his help many people learned to read newspapers for the first time; with his help, many women were able to teach their children how to read. As his daughter, I know what education means to the people, especially those without it.
我对教育感念至深。我的父亲生长在中国一个非常小的村庄里。在那些岁月里，许多村民都不识字。因此我的父亲开办了一所夜校帮助他们识字。在他的帮助下，许多人学会了写自己的名字；在他的帮助下，许多人有生以来第一次读报；在他的帮助下，许多妇女开始有能力教自己的孩子读书写字。作为她的女儿，我知道教育对一个人来说意味着什么，特别是那些没有文化的人。
After generations of hard work, China has come a long way in education. I myself am a beneficiary of that progress. Otherwise I would never become a soprano and a professor of musical. I am following my father's footsteps by teaching at China's Conservatory of Music to help continue China's success story.
在经过几代人的努力，中国的教育取得了巨大的进步。我自己就是这一进步的受益者。否则，我不会成为一个女高音和一名声乐教授。我在中国音乐学院教书，沿着父亲的足迹，帮助复制中国的成功故事。
I want to thank Director-general Bokova and UNESCO for naming me the Special Envoy for Women and Girls Education. I am truly honored to work with the UN and do something about Global Education. I have visited many schools around the world. I've seen first-hand on how much we can do for education.
我要感谢教科文组织任命我为“促进女童和妇女教育特使”。我对与联合国一道工作、为了全球教育做些工作感到由衷的荣幸。我访问了世界上的许多学校，我亲眼看到，我们在教育工作上还有很多的事情可以做。
Education is about women and the girls. It is important for girls to go to school because they will become their children's first teacher someday. But women still account for over half of the world's poor in population and 60% of adults who can't read. Education is crucial in the addressing such inequalities.In China, Spring Bud Education Program has helped over 3 million girls go back to school. Many of them have finished university education and they are doing well at work.
教育事关妇女和女童。女童入学非常重要，因为她们有一天会成为自己孩子的第一位老师。然而，妇女依然占世界贫穷人口的一半，她们中有六成成年人不识字。教育是解决此类不平等的关键。在中国，“春蕾计划”已经帮助300万女童重返校园。许多人读完了大学，并在工作岗位上表现出色。
Education is about equality. In poor countries and regions the number of school dropouts is astonishing. We call for more educational resources to these places.
教育事关平等。在贫穷国家和地区，辍学儿童的人数高得惊人。我们呼吁将更多的教育资源投入这些地方。
Education is about the young people. Young people are the future. Education is important because it not only gave young people knowledge and skills but also help them become responsible citizens.
教育事关年轻人。年轻人是我们的未来。教育之所以重要是因为它不仅给年轻人带来知识，还帮助他们成为负责任的公民。
As the UNESCO special envoy and the mother myself my commitment to education for all will never change. Many years ago my father made a small difference in his village. Together we can make a big difference in the world.
作为教科文组织的“促进女童和妇女教育特使”和一名母亲，我对人人享有教育的承诺永不改变。许多年前，我的父亲使他的村庄发生了改变。团结起来，我们可以使这个世界得到巨大改变。
I was once asked about my Chinese dream. I said I hope all children especially girls can have access to good education. This is my Chinese dream. I believe one day education first will no longer be a dream, it will be a reality enjoyed by every young woman on this planet. Thank you very much.
我曾经被问道自己的梦想是什么。我说我希望所有的儿童、特别是女童都可以接受良好的教育。这就是我的中国梦。我相信有一天“教育优先”将不再是一个梦想，它将变成这个星球上每一个妇女都能享有的现实。谢谢大家。

当地时间26日下午，国家主席习近平夫人、世界卫生组织结核病和艾滋病防治亲善大使彭丽媛应联合国秘书长潘基文邀请，在纽约出席联合国“每个妇女、每个儿童”倡议高级别会议开幕式。
彭丽媛发表致辞表示，关爱妇女、儿童和青少年健康，是对人类未来最重要的投入。这些年来，通过同政府和社会力量协作，中国的防艾宣传员和社会著名人士多方筹资，为艾滋孤儿开办学校，举办夏令营活动，提供免费治疗，帮助了许多孩子。他们多次走进中国高校，鼓励青年学生加强防范意识。他们的无私关爱可以成为艾滋孤儿对抗病毒的最好精神疫苗。
