Walkathon Fundraiser 2021 - A Great Success 泰达国际学校步行马拉松筹集善款活动

For many years it has been a tradition at TEDA Global Academy for the entire school community to come together in late September to help raise funds for local charities. This past Thursday was no different as more than 200 community members joined together on a cloudy afternoon for the 2021 Walkathon Fundraiser. The Walkathon Fundraiser is truly one of the most special events of the school year. Perhaps only at this event can one see children of different ages coming together, teachers of different subjects coming together, and parents of different nationalities coming together all in an effort to help those less fortunate members of our community. 

From its very first years, TEDA Global Academy has made service learning a cornerstone of its learning program. Whether it is high school students tutoring middle school students, older students reading to younger students, experienced student athletes coaching young athletes, school fundraisers, or hands on service initiatives, you will find TGA community members making contributions to their school and their community in a variety of ways. Many thanks to all the community members who participated in this year’s Walkathon Fundraiser. 


2021년 기금 마련 걷기 대회 대성공! 

여러 해 동안 TEDA 글로벌 아카데미는 9월 말 전체 학교 공동체가 함께 모여 지역 자선 단체를 위한 기금 마련을 돕는 전통을 가지고 있습니다. 200명이 넘는 커뮤니티 구성원들이 구름 낀 오후에 2021년 기금 마련 걷기 대회(Walkathon)를 함께 참여했던 지난 목요일도 이전과 다를 바 없었습니다. 기금 마련 걷기 대회는 진정으로 학년도의 가장 특별한 행사 중 하나입니다. 아마도 오직 이 행사에서만 다른 연령의 아이들, 다른 과목의 교사들, 다른 국적의 학부모님들이 다 함께 모여 우리 지역 사회의 불우이웃을 돕기 위해 노력하는 것을 볼 수 있을 것입니다.  

TEDA 글로벌 아카데미는 첫해부터 봉사 학습을 학교의 학습 프로그램의 초석으로 삼았습니다. 고등부 학생들이 중등부 학생들을 가르치거나, 나이 많은 학생들이 나이 어린 학생들에게 책을 읽어주거나, 경험 많은 학생 운동선수들이 어린 운동선수를 지도하거나, 학교 기금 마련 행사나, 봉사 계획을 실천하거나, TGA 커뮤니티 구성원들이 다양한 방식으로 학교와 지역사회에 공헌하는 것을 발견하실 것입니다. 


2021年泰达国际学校步行马拉松筹集善款活动取得圆满成功!
       泰达国际学校社区成员们在9月底相聚一堂，为当地慈善机构筹集善款，是我校历年来沿袭的优秀传统，今年也不例外。本周四，200多名TGA社区成员在凉爽的下午相聚在学校操场，参加了2021年度步行马拉松筹款活动。本次活动是本学年最重要的活动之一，你会看到全体社区成员不分年龄，不分学科，不分国籍，齐心协力为有需求的人贡献自己的一份力量。

       泰达国际学校始终将服务型学习作为其教育体系的基石。在这里，高中生辅导初中生，高年级学生为低年级学生朗读，经验丰富的体育队员们指导新加入的队员，学校组织募捐活动，提出脚踏实地的服务倡议。你会发现，泰达国际学校每位社区成员都在以各种各样的方式为学校和社区做出贡献。校方感谢积极参与今年步行马拉松筹集善款活动的社区成员。
