Chinese authorities have issued a guideline to advance reform and high-quality development of vocational education.

近日，国家印发了《关于深化现代职业教育体系建设改革的意见》。

It aims to enhance the capacities of vocational schools and increase the quality, adaptability, and appeal of vocational education to train more high-caliber technicians and skilled workers, said the document. It was made public by the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council on Wednesday.

《意见》由中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅于21日发布，旨在以提升职业学校关键能力为基础，切实提高职业教育的质量、适应性和吸引力，培养更多高素质技术技能人才。

The reform of the country's vocational education will focus on developing a multi-form, multi-channel, and sustainable education and training system and a cooperation mechanism among governments, industries, enterprises, and schools.

改革将重点建立健全多形式衔接、多通道成长、可持续发展的梯度职业教育和培训体系，构建政府、行业、企业、学校协同的发展机制。

Priority will be given to vocational education for industries such as information technology, numerically-controlled machine tools and robots, aviation and space equipment manufacturing, and biomedicine. Leading enterprises and vocational schools in these industries are encouraged to enhance cooperation.

优先选择新一代信息技术产业、高档数控机床和机器人、航空航天装备、生物医药等重点行业和重点领域，支持龙头企业和高水平高等学校、职业学校牵头，组建产教融合共同体。

Twitter users voted with a majority in a weekend poll indicating that Elon Musk should step down as CEO of the social media company.

Among the 17.5 million votes cast in Musk's 12-hour poll, which closed early Monday, 57.5 percent were in favor of his exit, with 42.5 percent indicating he should stay.

The move followed another day of controversy for the social media platform that has been embroiled in tumult since Musk bought it in October and subsequently laid off large swaths of employees, according to a report of The San Francisco Chronicle.

At least 6 sailors have been confirmed dead, while search and rescue continued for the 23 missing sailors more than 40 hours after a Thai warship sank in the Gulf of Thailand, the navy said Tuesday.

The corvette HTMS Sukhothai sank at around 00:12 a.m. local time Monday (1712 GMT Sunday) during a storm with 105 crew members aboard. As of Tuesday evening, 76 people have been brought to safety, six bodies were recovered, and 23 remained missing, according to the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
