Pelé, the Brazilian soccer legend who won three World Cups and became the sport’s first global icon, has died at the age of 82.

巴西足球传奇人物贝利去世，享年82岁。他曾三次获得世界杯冠军，成为该项运动的第一位世界级偶像。

“Everything that we are, is thanks to you,” his daughter Kely Nascimento wrote in a post on Instagram, under an image of family members holding Pele’s hands. “We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.”

Pelé was admitted to a hospital in São Paulo in late November for a respiratory infection and for complications related to colon cancer. Last week, the hospital said his health had worsened as his cancer progressed. He died on Thursday from multiple organ failure due to the progression of colon cancer, according to a statement from Albert Einstein Hospital.

China will manage COVID-19 with measures against Class B infectious diseases, instead of Class A infectious diseases, in a major shift of its epidemic response policies.

我国新冠疫情防控政策进行重大调整，新冠病毒感染将由“乙类甲管”调整为“乙类乙管”。

China has renamed the Chinese term for COVID-19 from "novel coronavirus pneumonia" to "novel coronavirus infection," said a statement released by the National Health Commission on Monday.

26日，国家卫生健康委员会发布公告，将新型冠状病毒肺炎更名为新型冠状病毒感染。

Starting from Jan 8, China will downgrade management of the disease from Class A to Class B in accordance with the country's law on prevention and treatment of infectious disease, and remove it from quarantinable infectious disease management carried out in accordance with the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China, added the statement.

公告称，自2023年1月8日起，解除对新型冠状病毒感染采取的《中华人民共和国传染病防治法》规定的甲类传染病预防、控制措施；新型冠状病毒感染不再纳入《中华人民共和国国境卫生检疫法》规定的检疫传染病管理。

Chinese academic database CNKI hit with heavy fine

China's top market regulator on Monday hit online academic database China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) with a fine of 87.6 million yuan ($12.6 million), or 5 percent of its 2021 domestic sales revenue, for abusing its dominant market position.

2022年12月26日，国家市场监管总局依法作出行政处罚决定，因在线学术数据库中国知网滥用市场支配地位，处以其2021年中国境内销售额5%的罚款，计8760万元。

In a statement announcing the decision, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) said its antitrust probe found that CNKI has a dominant position in the domestic market for online database services focusing on Chinese-language academic papers. CNKI has abused its dominant position to monopolize the market since 2014, read the statement.
