Students Start Return to School in Phases & Batches This Month

Yesterday afternoon, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education issued an authoritative notice! The provincial novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention command headquarters has decided that students of all levels of schools in the province will return to school in phases and batches starting from April 27th.

1. Arrangements for students to return to school in basic education

On April 27, high school juniors and seniors of the province return to school.

After May 11, students in all grades of primary and middle school will return to school in phases and batches determined by the epidemic prevention and control situation.

The start date for kindergarten and special education school students will be determined later. Before kindergarten children return to school, off-campus training institutions shall not carry out offline teaching activities.

2. Arrangements for students returning to colleges, technical colleges and vocational schools

After May 11th, qualified colleges and universities can arrange for graduating students to return to school.

After May 18th, technical colleges, and vocational schools of colleges and universities can arrange students of other grades to return to school in phases and batches to be determined by the specific situation of the students, the epidemic prevention and control situation, and preparation of prevention and control materials.

3. Arrangements for teaching staff to return to school

Schools that meet the conditions for returning to school may arrange for faculty and staff to return to school one week before the students return to school, in order to make preparations for epidemic prevention and control, education and teaching.
