Money-making Opportunity for those Bored in China
Over the last few weeks we’ve been hearing more and more people tell us that they’re bored out of their minds, running out of money, and or finding it hard to survive on their reduced salaries during this difficult time. Conversely, since we've launched the EatForCharity platform, we've been receiving so many requests that we don't have time to keep up. If you’re bored, are ANYWHERE IN CHINA, love food, are looking for something to do, and or need some extra cash, we can help each other out! Scan the QR Code below and send us a message with "What's the Dealio?" and we'll fill you in.
WHAT'S NEW on EatForCharity?
We launched the platform early because of the virus outbreak dining restrictions, with only 7 restaurants open. Since then we've been receiving requests from restaurants across Shenzhen, throughout China, and even as far as Africa to join the platform! We'll continue to work to add more places so more and more of you can Eat Good, Do Good!
We're happy to announce that there are 14 businesses open and delivering on EatForCharity now and we're adding more as we speak. Additions since our launch two weeks ago include:
Artisans Pizza in Nanshan
Dond0 in Futian
LiftON in Nanshan
Mix'd Cafe & Bar in Shekou
Monster Burgers & Pasta in Shekou
Tacos in Sea World
Tony's Kitchen in Shekou
Trader Zhou's in Shekou
We've added one in Futian this week and are currently setting up more restaurants in Futian and Luohu so expect to see those online soon too!
New & Improved Address-on-Map Picker
One of the hardest things for foreigners to do when ordering food in China is to enter their address. On EatForCharity, you no longer need to worry about entering in your address in Chinese, or worrying that a restaurant won’t be able to find you at your address entered in English… and restaurants no longer need to freak out when they can’t understand the pinyin you tried to type. Now our map automatically and accurately locates your position and clearly shows it to you on a bilingual English and Chinese map. If you wish to deliver to a location that you're not at, you can enter it into the search box or move the map around until the pin is in the right spot, similar to how the map in the Didi ride sharing app works.
NEW Automatic Language Detection Feature
Some users had mentioned that they either didn't notice that they could change the language, or found the language-selector a bit counter-intuitive. As a result, we've added a feature that automatically detects the default language of your device and displays EatForCharity in that language! Currently English and Chinese are enabled. We'll have the other languages, including Spanish, Portugues, Korean, and Russian automatically switching as well soon. Of course, you will still be able to switch to others using the language selector located at the top right corner.
