Important Shenzhen Metro Schedule Adjustments for May Holiday

Based on previous years' experience and due to this year's epidemic prevention and control situation, Shenzhen Metro is making changes for the expected passenger flow increases due to the May 1st holiday. 

In order to better meet the travel needs of citizens during the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the entire network of Shenzhen Metro (including Line 4) will have extended operating hours on April 30th, May 1st, and May 5th. On these three days, operations will be extended by 1 hour (Extension of Line 11 by 30 minutes). 

In addition, there are 7 lines that will keep half the line open later for passenger convenience.

During the three days, Line 1 Louho to Qianhai Bay, and Airport East to Zhu Zi Lin, will be extended to after 24:00.

6 Lines will add extra trains on the segments below:

• Line 3 Shuang Long bound for Huaxin, Yitian to Tangkeng. 3 trains added each way. 30 minutes extension.

• Line 6 Songgang bound for Meilin Pass, Science Museum bound for FengHuang City. 4 trains added each way. 30 minutes extension.

• Line 9 from Qianwan to Maling, Wenjin bound for Shenzhen Bay Park. 3 trains added each way. 30 minutes extension.

• Line 10 from Futian Port to Gankeng. 4 trains added each way. 30 minutes extension.

• Line 11 will alternately run from Futian to Airport North, Futian to Songgang. Two trains added each way. 40 minutes extension

• On the two days of May 1st, and 5th, Line 5 from Huangbeiling to Changlingpi, Chiwan to Changlingpi, will have 4 trains added each way. 30 minutes extension.

Business districts and transportation hubs during May 1st holiday are expected to have increased passenger flow. Monitoring will be strengthened and emergency plans put in place in advance. If on-site passenger flow gets too big, stations may eneact passenger flow measures to ensure passenger safety.
