复制、剪切、粘贴：与电脑有关的词汇和表达

在学习和工作中，我们经常用到电脑。那么电脑的基本部件、常用操作如何用英语表达？在《牛津中阶（第5版）》中都整理好了。

与电脑有关的词汇和表达

大多数人使用电脑（computer）收发电子邮件（email）或做文字处理（word processing），也可以用电脑上互联网（Internet）、玩电脑游戏（computer game）或者看DVD。

使用用户名（username）和密码（password）登录（log in/on）。用键盘（keyboard）键入（type in）文字，利用打印机（printer）打印（print out）文件。在显示屏（screen）上显示信息，用鼠标（mouse）选择图标（icon）。

数据（data）以文件（file）形式存储在硬盘（hard disk）、优盘（flash drive）或只读光盘（CD-ROM）上。用来运行计算机的程序（program）称为软件（software）。

办公或家用的电脑称为个人电脑（PC）或台式电脑（desktop）。便携式电脑（laptop）是可以随身携带的小型电脑。平板电脑（tablet）更小且扁平，靠触摸屏操作。

follow the set up instructions

reboot/restart the computer

select the new document option from the drop-down menus or click on the new document icon

从下拉式选单中选择“新建文档”项，或点击新建文档图标

type, edit and format the document

键入、编辑文档并给文档设定格式

print out the document

打印文档

save and close the document

保存并关闭文档

cutting and pasting text

剪切并粘贴文本

scroll down the text to find the block of text you want to move

往下滚动文本，找到要移动的文本块

position the cursor at the beginning of the block of text

将光标移至文本块的开头

hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to highlight the block of text

按住鼠标左键并拖动鼠标，将该文本块标出

release the left mouse button

松开鼠标左键

click on the right mouse button and select the cut text option from the pop-up menu

点击鼠标右键，在弹出式选单中选择剪切项

move the cursor to where you want the text to go

将光标移至文本要转移到的地方

select the paste text option 

选择粘贴项

looking up something on the Internet 

在互联网上查找信息

connect to the internet

连接网络

type in the website address or click (on)/follow a link

键入网址或点击某个链接

access the website

进入网站

browse/search the website to find the information

搜索网页，查找所需信息

if necessary, download the information

如有必要，下载信息

running several applications at the same time

同时运行若干应用程序

double click on the different program icons

双击不同的程序图标

move and resize the program windows as

required

根据要求移动并调整程序窗口的大小

click on a program's window to use that program

点击程序窗口以使用该程序

when finished, close the windows

完成后，关闭窗口

backing-up a file on to a USB stick

将文件在U盘里备份

insert a USB stick

插入U盘

compress/zip the file if it is too large

如果文件过大，则要压缩

copy/save the file onto a USB stick

复制/保存该文件到U盘上

if necessary, rename the backed-up file

如有必要，给备份文件重新命名

remove/take out the USB stick

取出U盘
