【Exhibition Tour | 导览】 作品《鲸鱼-3 -4 The Whale -3 -4》

工作室画廊荣幸地宣布，画廊空间的全新展览《制作》已于8月18日成功开幕，并持续到9月16日结束。此次展览将呈现艺术家顾建在过去十年间最为主要的几件绘画创作。

Studio Gallery's new exhibition "Making" - Gu Jian's solo show unveiled on August 18th. This exhibition presents the most important paintings of the artist in the past 10 years, and it will last till September 16th, 2018.

In order to pass on more details to our audience, we invited artist to make some narration to each artwork in our project space. In the coming week, we will introduce you a piece of work on show everyday. You can also click the link below for more information.

鲸鱼-3 | The Whale – 3
布面综合材料 (丙烯、油画、喷漆、沙子）

120 x 160 cm（高h x 宽w）

这几张为什么不一样？我就想能否让鲸鱼的底（画面）更加简便化；能够更加地形象化；能够更加地体现出“我认为鲸鱼应该是这个样子”。所以就画出这个比较搞笑的鲸鱼，微笑的鲸鱼。长得有点傻。但是我这个人的性格长得最像的一个类型。

Why are these pieces all different? Because I was thinking about whether the background of the whale can be more simplified and visualized, whether it can reflect the thought "Oh I think the whale should be like this." better. So I draw this funnier smiling whale, even a bit silly. But it is the most likely type of my personality.

下面的这两张就属于，我希望每条鲸鱼都不一样（的心态下画的）。我就不想只是画鲸鱼头了，想画一整条鲸鱼。后来发现这个画面比较小，感觉撑不开，所以这条鲸鱼感觉比较猥琐，窝在里面了。

The following two pieces came under the mentality that I want every whale to be different. Instead of just drawing a head, I want it to be a whole whale. But turned out the size of this painting is relatively small, unable to fit it whole in, so this whale looks rather wretched and nestled in it.
