"Maternal and infant microbiome"

Dysbiosis has been shown to be widespread in women with reproductive disorders, in mothers suffering from adverse pregnancy processes and outcomes, and even in their offspring. It determines the composition of the microecology in the early years of life, and thus exerts both immediate and long-term effects on host health. 

Under the topic of "Maternal and infant microbiome" which considers all article types including but not limited to study the potential impact or response of microbiota related to maternal health, conception and reproduction, and colonization and development in neonates, infant and childhood, this special issue dedicates to promote basic medical research in Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics.
