Guest Editors
Professor Zhisheng (Edward) Wen holds a Ph.D. in applied linguistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Supervisor: Prof. Peter Skehan) and is currently a Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
Hassan Mohebbi: His main research interests are writing, individual differences, assessment literacy, and ESP/EAP/ERPP. He is an editorial board member of Language Testing in Asia (Springer), Asian-Pacific Journal of Second and Foreign Language Education (Springer), Language Teaching Research Quarterly (EUROKD), and Australian Journal of Applied Linguistics (Book Reviews Editor).
Call for papers
Diane Larsen-Freeman is Professor Emerita of Education and Linguistics, Research Scientist Emerita, and former Director of the English Language Institute (ELI) at the University of Michigan. She is also Professor Emerita at the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont and a Visiting Faculty Member at the University of Pennsylvania. Prof. Larsen-Freeman has a celebratory career of over 40 years in applied linguistics and language education, with numerous publications of influential books and papers in the field. Her recent books are Complex Systems and Applied Linguistics (2008, with L. Cameron), winner of the MLA’s Kenneth Mildenberger Book Prize, the third edition of Techniques and Principles (2011, with M. Anderson), the third edition of The Grammar Book, Form, Meaning, and Use for English Language Teachers (2015, with M. Celce-Murcia), and Second Language Development: Ever Expanding (2018). Dr. Larsen-Freeman edited the journal Language Learning for five years, and later served as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Through this Special Issue, the editors wish to honour the influential work of Professor Diane Larsen-Freeman and her enormous contributions to second language teaching and learning. We encourage scholars around the world to submit articles on the following themes:

- Second Language Acquisition/Development
- Complex Dynamic Systems Theory
- Teaching Grammar
- Grammaring
