U.S. Cancels "no fly order" - Now allowing two flights weekly
On June 3, the U.S. Department of transportation had issued an order to suspend all scheduled passenger flights between China and the United States held by Chinese airlines from June 16.
On June 4, CAAC adjusted its international passenger flights plan, relaxed the restrictions on international passenger flights of foreign airlines, and implemented flight rewards and circuit breaker measures, effective June 8.
From June 8, 2020, all foreign airlines not listed in the flight plan can select a port city with reception capacity within the business license of the company (the specific city list can be inquired on the official website of Civil Aviation Administration) and operate one international passenger line flight every week.
If the number of passengers with positive nucleic acid test results in the same airline flight is zero for three consecutive weeks after entry, one flight per week can be increased within the range of flight volume specified in the airline business license, up to two flights per week. If the number of passengers with positive nucleic acid test results in the same airline flight reaches 5, the airline will be suspended for 1 week; if the number reaches 10, the airline will be suspended for 4 weeks.
The change is expected to help 20 airlines from 16 countries resume their flights, with a maximum of 20 flights per week, including Algeria, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kenya, Rwanda, Madagascar, Morocco, Mexico, Switzerland, Brunei, Ukraine, Iraq, Iran, and Vietnam.
